About Me
My name is Kara Nicholls I'm 38 years old I liuve with my husband and our two children aged 18 and 15. I have been a childminder for over 4 years. I'm gaining knowledge of the EYFS framework.
We have a very welcoming loving home, I have a safe garden that children can play and explore in.
I am fully first aid trained and CRB checked . I am able to care for children from birth to 13 years.
My home is non smoking and I promote healthy eating.
A contact dairy is also given so you can see what your child has done that day
What they have ate, naps etc.
My Experience
Having 2 children of my own, coupled with years of looking after children of friends and family has given me vast experience. The service that I provide is based on the high standard of care that I would expect from someone looking after my own children. I have taken care of my nephew for 5 and a half years.
I love working with children of all ages and organising different fun activities that cater to their own specific needs. I have a selection of toys and games to suit all ages and a range of resources for arts and crafts activities. We have lots of trips out to local libraries, play groups, picnics, exploring parks, walks, farms, soft play centres, and lots more. Being healthy and active is very important to me and my family.
My aim is to provide the children with the individual attention that they need, whilst encouraging independence and confidence I have worked with children for a number of years as a playgroup worker.
My Qualifications
I have completed the following qualifications and checks:
NVQ Level 2 teaching assistant
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding training
Childminding Certificate
My Availability
I'm available from 7 am to 6pm Tuesday-Friday. I will have full time space from September 2021 Tuesday-Friday plus a part time space Thursday and Friday.
