My name is Karibiba William-West, and I am a student at Nottingham Trent University, where I am pursuing my second Master of Laws degree in Technology Law. Since I am nearing the completion of my degree and am no longer needed to attend classes, I have a great deal of free time to work. I've always had a knack for working with young people. Being the oldest of five, I was expected to take charge of my younger siblings and eventually expanded my responsibilities to include my younger relatives as well. Being my grandmother's primary carer during her illness is a prime illustration of why I am so enthusiastic about helping those in need. In addition, I have babysat for a number of children, both in the church setting and when friends have been out of town. Working with kids and other vulnerable individuals has taught me to be more patient, open-minded, and helpful to anyone in need.
My Experience
My whole life has revolved around working with children. I've had plenty of experience caring for youngsters, from watching younger siblings to helping out with cousins and friends' kids at church.
To sum up my background in a few words:
Preparing meals and giving special attention to those who are recovering from a minor illness
Transportation to and from Kindergarten/Preschool
By setting up outings to places like the park and the movies
Assisting with homework and getting ready for bed
Offering encouragement in a broad sense
Helping around the house, if needed
I also have a good singing voice, which I think can be used to both educate and delight young listeners.
This last month, I have been staying with my sister and her new newborn boy. I took care of her son until she got off work, and that experience encouraged me to help others in need.
