About Me
Hello, my name is Maura and I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for over twenty years. I have a Level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice. I live off Bromley Common with my husband and adult son and daughter. What I offer is a warm and welcoming family environment where your little one will feel secure and supported, enabling them to develop and learn at their own pace through our daily play, activities and outings. I have a wide range of age appropriate toys and resources and a secure garden which we use regularly.
My Experience
I have looked after children ranging in age from 3 months to 11 years. Some have been with me from babyhood through to the end of Year 6. I am DBS checked (held with Ofsted) and have an up to date First Aid certificate. My most recent Ofsted inspection rated my setting as Good.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice. Regularly updated First Aid, Safeguarding & Child Protection plus many other trainings through Continuous Professional Development.

Maura has taken care of our two children since our eldest was about 10 months, 7 years ago. In those early days, Maura would let me know how quickly both children had settled once we had left them, which was always so reassuring. Her fantastic communication, flexibility and genuine care for our children has been an absolute life saver as working parents. Maura engages children of different ages so well and organically, taking them to playgroups, weekly trips to the park as well as various activities in the home including baking, reading time, dress up and garden play. I always looked forward to the photos of what the children had got up to during their day with Maura- some of these pictures have made our walls :) My children always enjoyed going to Maura's and have made lovely first friendships with children they have met there. They are both now in school but still ask to go to Maura's in the holidays. She and her family have been so welcoming from the very beginning and if you are looking for that 'home away from home' experience, and for someone to care for your child/ren as their own, Maura is the childminder for you. I thank our lucky stars we met Maura back when we were very nervous first time parents- her supportive, understanding nature and experience with children has helped us so much over the years and to know your children are with someone you trust is worth more than anything you can quantify.

Maura has been our childminder for nearly 6 years and she's fantastic. She's looked after both of our children from age 1 and they've been really happy there. We feel so lucky to have found someone so caring, professional and reliable, and who looks after them like she would her own children. There is always plenty for the children to do and lots of developmental games and interraction. Maura also took the time to do some speech therapy exercises with our son when he needed them. Our children are both at achool now but we still sometimes ask Maura for adhoc help during the holidays and we thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.

We have found an absolute Gem. It takes anyone to learn about childcare and gain qualifications but it takes an extra special person to actually master it and have the nack/god given talent to care for your child and have passion about what they do almost effortlessly everyday. You simply cannot teach someone the skills and ability to engage and encourage and enhance your children - she just has that magic. We are so happy we have found her and my son has thrived in her care. Reccomended 100%. Her setting is fabulous and she goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy. Cannot praise her enough and we would be lost without her as she has become almost like an extension to our family. Xx T&D
