About Me

We are looking for an energetic, outdoorsy, fun loving, full time, live-out nanny in Shoreham, Sevenoaks to look after our 3 children (2 boys aged 10 years and 8 years, and a girl aged 3.5 years) and assist with housekeeping (not cleaning).

Household Help

All of the children attend St Michael’s Prep School in nearby Otford, with our daughter attending the nursery at the St Michael’s Pre-Prep. During term time we are looking for assistance in the morning and evenings for the school run and other household tasks, such as washing, tidying and cooking meals for the children. In the school holidays we will need assistance throughout the normal working day while the children do summer camps and other activities.
We are an Australian family living just over a mile from Shoreham village and around 10-15 minutes drive from the heart of Sevenoaks. Both parents are in their 40s and work full time as corporate lawyers. Therefore, we are looking for someone experienced, energetic and fun loving to care for our three boisterous kids during the week.
Ideally we would request an additional one night of babysitting which will be paid for in addition to your weekly salary and arranged in advance with your agreement. If English is not your first language, we would expect that your spoken English is excellent and that you enjoy reading to the kids as they love listening to stories. We have a cleaner, so only limited assistance with household duties will be required.
Minimum requirements:
1. previous experience of sole charge care of nursery age children;
2. at least 2-3 excellent contactable childcare references;
3. your paediatric first aid qualification;
4. your eligibility to work in the UK document (i.e. European passport, visa status etc);
5. an up to date UK DBS check status;
6. have your own car that can fit three children in the back seat; and
7. candidate must be a non smoker.

Additional Details:
Hours:
Term time: Ideally Mon to Fri - 7.30am-10:00am and then 2pm-7:30pm (plus one night a week’s babysitting on Thursday evening until 10:30pm). Usually 7-8 hours per day and 35-40 hours a week. Potential for more hours for the right candidate.
School holidays time: Ideally 8:30am-6:30pm so 10 hours a day (including some additional ad-hoc hours).
