About Me
My name is Mandy. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I am happily married with two grown up children (only one living at home) and a grandmother to two beautiful little people. I live in Birch Hill and can easily drop off to either Birch Hill or South Hill Park Pre-Schools, Birch Hill Nursery and Birch Hill School. I am able to offer 15/30 hour funding to eligible parents.
My Experience
I have over 24 years experience working with children having worked both as a Pre-School Practitioner and as a Childminder - I took a break in 2020 to concentrate on house improvements and the excitement of my first grandchild arriving. Due to the length of time passed I had to re-registered with Ofsted.
I regularly attend the local Bracknell and District Childminding Group, I have a strong network of childminding friends and regularly meet up for outings to local parks, soft play and the other amenities that Bracknell and local areas have to offer, enabling each child to have the opportunity to socialise with other children of similar age and bond friendships. I enjoy my job and consider myself extremely conscientious. I offer a home from home environment with each child's individual needs being met. I have been on several courses and fully up to date but continue to further my childminding knowledge by completing training courses regularly
My Availability
I have one part time early year’s vacancy Monday to Thursday from September 2025, I am happy to offer school hours 9am to 3pm if required, so if you are interested please feel free to contact me. I can be flexible to help meet parents, sometimes very demanding work schedule and so maybe able to help you with your requirements.

Mandy used to look after my son from the age of 2 until he started school. Helped him soooooo much to get ready for school considering that English isn't our first language !!!
Mandy also is looking after my daughter from the age of 8 months.
She loves there and loves playing with other kids there and at the groups.
Definitely would recommend!

After having a child in lockdown, I was very anxious as my son hadn’t interacted with many people/children and I was clueless finding a suitable childminder. However first time meeting Mandy she was very welcoming and had such an amazing setting! I knew straight away I wanted my son to be there. Communication has been amazing and she helped every step of the way with any queries I had, or concerns with my son. She helped him grow into a more confident child and he loved being there, going out to toddler groups and the park. We feel so lucky to have had Mandy and would highly recommend to anyone, my son even called her ‘Nanny’ :)

I was so lucky to find Mandy. She has looked after my little girl for almost a year for 5 days a week and I couldn't have asked for a better childminder. My little girl is always happy to go to Mandy's, loves all her friends and always has fun things to do. She regularly meets up with other children at toddler group, whoosh and the park and shops as well as the occasional outings further afield such as Legoland. Mandy always lets me know how her day has gone and was even willing to accommodate cloth nappies. She is simply brilliant and we are so lucky to have her as our childminder. I would recommend her to anyone.

My son has been with Mandy since he was just two, and every single day he is full of stories about his adventures and is always eager to tell me about his day.
As soon as Mandy greeted us on our first visit I knew instantly that I didn’t need to visit any one else to make a decision. Both my son and I felt immediately at home and I had complete confidence that she would take great care of my little boy.
Mandy is professional, friendly and fun and can always offer great advice whenever it’s needed.
Her playroom is practically a little nursery with some lovely personalised touches, and she has an excellent variation of educational resources and stimulating toys to offer to keep the children busy and entertained in between their outings
We feel so very very lucky to have had Mandy recommended to us and for her to have played such an valuable role in our sons life so far.
I literally couldn’t thank her enough for everything that she has done for us over the last year and a half!

We found Mandy back in 2012 when we were looking for a childminder to look after our son, we instantly bonded with Mandy and her family. Mandy has been an exceptional addition to our family, she provides a wonderful home from home setting, which included dedicated play room.
I found it hard to find a childminder as our son was born at 32 weeks, so still at the age of one he seemed so small and delicate. Mandy made me feel really content and I had no worries in the slightest whilst he was in her care.
Our 4 year old daughter is now with Mandy, up until she goes into reception in Sept 18. Our daughter loves her days with Mandy, she is always keen to tell me about her day when I pick her up from nursery. Isla has made some very strong friends within Mandys group and network. Isla especially loves going to group play twice per week, where she does loads of different activities.
I couldn't recommend Mandy highly enough she has been very flexible with us and we all love her dearly.
Thanks Mandy you are amazing, couldn't ask for any better.
