My Summary
About Me
My name is Claire, I live in Gillingham with my husband and our children. I am an OFSTED registered, recently rated ‘Good’ childminder and a qualified primary school teacher. I love working with and caring for children and I am passionate about providing them with exciting and enriching learning experiences.
My setting includes a dedicated playroom ideal for children under 5, a baby area and space for school aged children to complete homework or enjoy some quiet time after their day at school. I have a wide range of toys, resources and equipment suitable for all ages, which I use to support children’s learning and development.
I also appreciate the importance of children learning and playing outside and have a garden space dedicated to growing plants and produce as well as various outdoor toys and resources. Some of these include a slide, sports games, play house and mud kitchen.
I am able to offer various childcare including school holidays, before/after school and dependent on availability.

My Experience
Primary School Teacher - experience with EYFS, KS1 & KS2, specialising in early years and art and design.
Experiences with working with children with SEN including ASD, GDD, Visual/Hearing impairments, speech and language delay.
Have personal experience of raising my own 6 young children.
Extensive training in safeguarding, food & nutrition, children’s education, behaviour and additional needs such as SEN and EAL.

£5.00 an hour - Monday to Friday - includes snacks, meals. Discounts for siblings.

Claire looked after my boys (6)&(8) for year and a half. She has a lovely setting and a lovely family and my boys adored them all.
Claire is kind, nurturing and very caring.
There was always an array of educational activities, healthy food and it really felt like a second home for my boys.
We would still be with Claire and her family if my work circumstances hadn’t changed. I definitely had to leave a review as she will be sorely missed!

Claire is a very warm, friendly, caring, approachable and accommodating person. I felt confident leaving my son in her care and he always returned home in great spirits, talking about the various activities that took place in Claire's setting. I would highly recommend Claire and her lovely setting.
Thank you for looking after my son.

I am very happy with the service that Claire t Sunnymeade Childminding provides, my daughter is always happy to be in her care , she is reliable and efficient. We couldn't ask for a better person to look after our daughter.
