About Me

I mentor children through the 11+/entrance exams, working through verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Maths and English. My students have gained places at Dame Alice Owen, STAHS, St Albans School, Haileybury, Brighton College and more.

I teach English from year 1 to GCSE and maths up to year 8 (to account for the transition to KS3). I tutor online using zoom and an interactive whiteboard called BitPaper which allows me to share my screen, share documents and give students control on the screen to type/draw/play games.

I also teach children who have an EHCP and aren't currently attending school. I help to create a nurturing and calm 1:1 environment to help restore a positive teacher-student relationship.

I have a friendly, fun approach and enjoy getting to know my students well. It is vital to me that they feel supported; I put a great emphasis on their well-being, incorporating mindfulness techniques into my lessons when needed.

My Experience

I left a SEN school to pursue tutoring full-time. I have worked with children with a range of conditions including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD and ADHD. Having an autistic brother, I grew up knowing the stresses of getting a child with additional needs through school. This has motivated me to get into education and help others to reach their full potential.

I have been tutoring privately for 5 years with great success and have many five-star reviews which I can direct you to upon request.

My Qualifications

I have a BSc in Geography, and all GCSE’s grade A*-C. I am also currently studying for a diploma in Educational Psychology.
