About Me
SPACES AVAILABLE FROM SEPTEMBER. Hi, my name is Donna Batham and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Altofts. I am married to Paul and we have a six year old son Charlie. Paul and I work together caring for children. We have a smoke free home situated in a quiet location close to Leebrigg Infant School and have a safe and secluded back garden for children to play in.
We regularly attend local story group, the library, book swap and parks. We live within easy reach of local parks and scenic walks for children to enjoy outdoor activities.
We provide a happy home from home environment for the children. We have resources and enjoy activities which enable the children to receive the very best in Early Years Foundation Stage learning prior to them entering into the next stage of their education whilst having lots of fun along the way. Our business is about quality not quantity with the welfare of the children being of paramount importance.
We aim to work together in partnership with parents to provide all children within our care with a clean, safe, home like setting where everyone feels valued.
We aim to provide a quality caring environment where standards are high, independence can be developed and where there is a wealth of learning opportunities, both structured and flexible. I am passionate about helping children to achieve their goals, promote their self esteem and build their confidence.
My Experience
I became a registered childminder five years ago but my experience also comes from being a Mum of three. I have two grown up children who have now left home, I was actively involved in their school activities and hobbies as they were growing up. I helped out on school outings and worked as a dinner lady. My son was a member of a local football team and drama group, I was always happy to volunteer washing kits, fund raising, running stalls at fun days etc. My daughter was involved with a local dance school and regularly performed in shows, I enjoyed helping out back stage supervising the children with hairstyles and costume changes.
Having a six year old son has given me more recent experience of toddlers I am now enjoying getting involved with little ones activities again.

My Availability

FUNDED PLACES AVAILABLE
We offer a childminding service from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 5.15pm, but can be flexible for parents working unusual or varying shift patterns. We can also drop off and collect children from local schools.
We live very close to Leebrigg School but also cover Altofts Junior School.
We do not offer this service on weekends or on Bank Holidays and we are not registered for overnight care.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.25 per hour
£4.25 per hour including meals, £4.75 per hour for wrap around care.
