I am 28 years old, who enjoys being with children; both in a play environment and academically.
I have been a primary school teacher for the last 6 years, working with children from 4 to 9 years and I have been babysitting/nannying for 10 years.
I graduated from The University of Sussex (2018) with a 1st class degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. This course gave me an insight into different aspects of childhood and given me greater knowledge and practical experience on children.
I am an organised, happy, trustworthy and calm individual and can apply myself to any problem which would help me when looking after your children.
My Experience
I currently a primary school teacher in Newquay.
I have previously babysat for 5 different families that had children between the ages of 4 and 10. This has involved babysitting during evenings and putting the children to bed, regular school pick ups and taking them to activities. I have also looked after children during the school holidays ensuring the children in those families were entertained for the hours I was looking after them, either playing board games, playing with Lego, drawing and colouring, doing arts and crafts or going to the park.
I have previously worked at David Lloyd Clubs in Brighton (3 and a half years) as a Kids Club team member. Within this job I supervised and played with children ranging from 3-11, created activities and games for them to play. I also ran kids parties which involved organising games to keep the children entertained and happy for the duration of the party.
My Qualifications
Senior Mental Health Lead
Level 2 in Understanding Autism
PCGE from University of Chichester
First class degree in Childhood and Youth Studies from The University of Sussex.
A Levels in English, Dance and Psychology.
I also hold a DBS.
My Availability
I am available evenings and weekends on an adhoc basis and during the day in the school holidays.
Due to change from August.
From August 2025 - September 2025, I am available for nannying during the school holidays.
From January 2026, I will be available to nanny during week days.

We met Ella through this site and are thrilled to have found her. It turns out that she works at our eldest son's school so he already knew her which made us feel even more comfortable asking her to babysit both boys. She has babysat for us on a few occasions and has been very reliable - and more importantly good with the boys. She put us all at our ease and we were able to go out an enjoy our evening knowing the boys were safe and cared for at home. As she is training to be a teacher she also offers tutoring and whilst we haven't taken advantage of this we feel it is a definite bonus! She is a lovely, caring girl with a very calm nature. We highly recommend!

Always reliable and punctual. My little boy loves spending time with Ella. She is thoughtful, intelligent and creative and is very good at connecting with my little one. I highly recommend such a wonderful babysitter.

Ella is unshakable calm and grounded and this has rubbed off on my lively kids. She provided after school care and babysitting to my 6 and 9 year olds for around a year, until she started college in September, but I have asked her back to help out over the summer holidays because I know they will be in good hands. It is great to have someone I can 100% trust to take good care of the kids. When I told my daughter that she would see Ella in the summer she was soooo happy.
I would be happy to give a telephone reference if required.
