About Me
My name is Anna,
I am OFSTED registered Childminder in North Barnes. I have three children, two girls in their twenties and my Son who is 13.
We also have living with us my Husband and a Labrador dog. Molly.
I work alongside my childminding assistant Lauren, she also offers evening and weekend and throughout the School holiday babysitting if this is something you are looking for?
I live in a wonderful area, close to shops, parks, River Thames, Barnes pond and the Wetland Centre are all within walking distance from my house.
I have strong bonds with the local community and I am often involved with the local school and community centre.
I believe that every child is unique and needs to be catered for in such a way. Parents know their child best and I place a strong emphasis on working with parents as a partnership.
I provide high quality and consistent care so that every child makes good progress whilst they are in my care.
We often go out on trips and I use local playgroups, singing groups, parks and library.
Once a month I take the children on big trips, this might be to the zoo, farm or the London Aquarium.
I include healthy balanced meals which include breakfast, lunch and dinner and a wide range of healthy snacks and drinks.
I try to be as flexible as possible so if you have any questions please get touch and I will email you a parent pack with all the information you will need.
My Experience
I have been a registered Childminder since April 2015. up until this point I worked as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant since 2005.
Before this I was a counsellor who worked with addiction.
I have worked with children from Foundation stage up to year 6 (3-11)
I believe that play is the is the most effective way to learn, that can be though dance, singing, playing with toys or exploring nature.

I have been trained in communication and language. (Children who need help with Speech and language)

Degree in counselling and Child play therapy.

Anna was our childminder for 4 years, firstly for our first daughter and then second daughter as well when she was born. We have changed our days and hours as our needs have changed and she has always been able to adapt to our needs. The children were always entertained whether it be at parks, playgroups, by the river or at the pond locally, and have been out and about in London too to really exciting places (London Aquarium etc). She also has a bug garden for london with great play facilities. In addition the children always came home with various pieces of artwork they had completed at Annas. Anna made really varied and always healthy food for the children. Lastly she is kind and caring and really loves the children which is just what you need to know as a parent going out to work. I would thoroughly recommend Anna as a childminder!

Anna and her assistant Clancie looked after our 14 months daughter Daphnée two days per week since Feb 2017, and we have been extremely pleased with the care provided - The setting (her house) is excellent and Daphnée was always so happy to go there, the big smile on her face each time doesn't lie. I have been really amazed by all the activities Anna and Clancie take the children to: playgroups, farm, zoo, parks, areas with sensory rooms and many more! Our daughter made so much progress and definitely grew in confidence thanks to a very friendly environment led by Anna. Sadly, we are leaving London in the summer, and I know that Daphnée will miss Anna and Clancie very much. I would strongly recommend Anna to any parent looking for a great childminder.

Anna Has been caring for our 3 year old Daughter part time since last year 4 days a week and increasing to 5 days and possibly full time in Sept 2017 and our daughter absolutely adores her! Anna has also had our 11 year old occasionally if needed. Anna offers a lovely warm home from home environment all the time remaining really professional and teaching all the time. They are always doing something exciting and our daughter cannot wait to tell us all about her day. Anna is really flexible if needed and there is always the opportunity for cover available in Anna's absence (holiday etc). I love this setting, It is a lovely family home. Anna provides wonderful activities at home too and very educational. Healthy meals and snacks provided and Children are kept active. Anna is ready to give cuddles if needed and adapts around the children's routines as much as she can. Anna is highly qualified with children prior to becoming a childminder and this shines through in her professionalism and experience. I highly recommend Anna, you or your child/children will not be disappointed. We hope that Anna will continue to work for us through our little ones schooling life. I love that Anna is not all about the socialising as a childminder but always puts the children first. We found Anna as I used to see her with other children at a local playgroup and was always impressed with her level of care and attention. Our daughter has been looked after by Anna for almost a year and she adores her! We've been so impressed with the imagination Anna applies to the activities she arranges and the range of trips she takes the children on. As well as playgroups, the library, the park etc Lottie has been to farms, the zoo, the aquarium and even the London Eye!
Anna cooks delicious healthy meals for the children and is meticulous in keeping you informed about your child's day with her. Her home is clean, comfortable and filled with interesting things for the children to play with.
It is with tremendous sadness that we will leave Anna when we move away from London in the summer. I could not recommend her more enthusiastically to anyone seeking a childminder.

Anna looked after our daughter, who was 17 months old, for 3 weeks whilst our usual childminder was away. Our daughter was very comfortable there and enjoyed the relaxed environment; particularly playing with the dogs! We were very impressed with Anna - she has a great sense of adventure and ensures the children are regularly given new experiences (such as going to Richmond Park, the zoo, farm etc). She is also very good at communicating with parents - we had a daily diary with photos, as well as text messages throughout the day. We would definitely recommend her and will use her again if the opportunity arises.
