About Me
Hello,
We are a husband and wife team. I am an Ofsted registered childminder with an early years degree and my husband is my assistant and I have been registered since 2016 and my husband has came on board this July 2020. We have a lovely family home and the children and families that we currently care for love the dynamics of the setting. We are able to offer a variety of contracts including term time only, full time, part time. As well as holiday only cover. We are linked to Valley/ St Andrews primary schools where we currently do collections and drop offs. If your child attends another school please enquire as we maybe able to provide collections from other locations within Solihull.
Personally I have over 20 years experience working within the childcare sector within nurseries, wrap around the school environment and being a private nanny, I became a childminder and set up the business when our own son now 7 years old boy and our daughter a 4 year old girl. We feel that we can offer care for other parents that want to have their children cared for in a home from home nurturing caring environment.
We have a welcoming caring home where you and your child would feel very comfortable and happy. We live in the Lyndon area of Solihull. Very close to several parks and nature reserves which we encompass into our everyday activities for the children, We attend local groups with the children several times a week so children can have the opportunity to engage with other children of the same age.
We have a 1 year old black Labrador who is extremely friendly and loves the children, he has always been around children. We also have three cats that spend the whole day sleeping. We also have several chickens and ducks which the children all adore and love to collect the eggs and then make baked goods with them to take home.

Lucy and Gav offer the most wonderful setting and care I could ever have wished for for my children. The kids are always looking forward to going and come home with stories, arts & crafts and home made goodies. The kids love the animals, the garden, their meals and the trips they participate in. I feel the care the kids receive is as if they are Lucy and Gav’s own children; a home from home with collaborative goals when the kids go through those little developmental blips :-). I cannot speak highly enough of Lucy’s Little Stars, they provide unconditional care which I am truly blessed with and eternally grateful for. It is care and love I can never say thank you enough for (especially during 2020).
