About Me
Hi, I'm a childminder living near the marina in Devizes. I'm married with an 26 year old son who is a Sports Coach, and we live on the Cannings Hill estate, near to Devizes Marina.
I've been a registered childminder with Ofsted for 23 years and currently look after children from birth upwards!I I look after the children before they start school and they then return during school holidays and TD days!! I can also provide specific school holiday and TD cover for older children.
I have recently undergone my Ofsted Inspections and have been judged Outstanding in all areas, and I have received some wonderful feedback from the Inspector involved.
I can provide cover 5 days a week or less depending on your requirements, and I can cover for parents whose work covers irregular shift patterns.
I can also offer specific term time contracts to accommodate teachers or parents who work at schools, or where they work term time only. I have plenty of experience covering term time parents and will provide you with a specific term time or holiday cover only contract.
I have been told by my parents that "I offer a package of childcare that all parents want and need!"
I am passionate about childminding and we have a great time doing music sessions, Yoga sessions, and we love to go for long walks along the canal or to "our bridge"! We love being outside and learning about all things relating to nature. We also practise signing and we have regular visits from the team from Zoolab with their animals.
Our regular Baby Yoga and Music sessions are so important as they teach the children how to share, how to take part in activities, listen and concentrate and it also builds their self confidence and self esteem - our children always love these sessions!
I have wonderful relationships with all my parents, and we operate very much on a family friendly basis. I've been told that the children love coming to my house and that I'm flexible, understanding of parents who work, reliable and user friendly!!!
I can also access all the various Funded Monies that are available from April 2024; we can offer you the Funded Hours on a stretched basis with No restrictions. This means you can access ALL the Funded Hours over 52 weeks of the Year and not just the 38weeks of the year for Term Time settings. We will also not suddenly surprise you with an Invoice for added extras, such a consumables!

My Experience
I've been childminding for over 23 years now and have looked after a range of children during this time! In addition to minding I'm also a mother!
I also worked for 15 years for Zurich assurance in Swindon, and for 5 years of that time I was myself using a childminder - so I know what it feels like to be the parent placing their child in a childminding setting. I also understand and appreciate the constraints of being a working parent and I've been told that my flexibility is the key to my service!
I have been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, and also have excellent references from all my parents. I adhere to the EYFS at all times and use my knowledge of this to bring out the best in the children I look after.
All my children receive a regular assessment which follows the EYFS guidelines and I also produce a learning journey on all the children in my care. Everyone has their own learning journey and individual assessment books.
All of my children who have stayed with me until the transition to school, have reached all their EYFS targets and we have been told by Reception teachers that they "have thrived in a lovely small environment."
I also undertake regular training, in terms of welfare, safeguarded and child protection issues.
I also am trained in providing Communication with Phonics, Safeguarding through Sport, Emergency First Aid at Work and the obligatory First Aid for Children qualification.

My Availability
I work 5 days a week from 7.30 till 5.30 most days, and have lots of experience providing care for parents who work shifts or term time only. In the event of term time only cover, I will provide a specific term time only contract with no retainer paid during the school holidays.
I do not work on Fridays during the School Holidays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
Please contact me for specific details relating to my current fees. If I am on holiday/ill, there is no fee payable and if you/the child are on holiday or are ill, then 50% of the fee is payable.
I can also offer specific term time and holiday only contracts - please contact me for more information.
We also offer Funded Hours for 52 weeks of the year & not just for the 38 wks of Termtime - we offer Funded Hours on a Stretched Basis throughout all the Funded Blocks.
We provide Funded Hours throughout everyday without any restrictions or any additional costs - you will not receive an Invoice for consumables or hours not covered by Funded Hours.

My daughter has been with Tracy since 2012 at just under a year old.
As soon as we met Tracy we knew that this was the right place for my daughter to be and we have never been disappointed with this big decision!
My daughter has grown to be a confident and dependant young lady and is loving learning how to do things for herself and showing off the new things she learnt everyday. Her attention span and thirst for learning is magnified since being with Tracy.
I have always loved how she used to cry when I come to take her home instead of not wanting me to leave her as I then knew just how much she loved it! Which made my going back to work less stressful (As the going back to work from maternity leave is always harder for the parents than the children!)
Overall
Tracy has been looking after my children since 2012 and 2014 respectively. They have been in her care since the ages of 6/7 months.
I can say that we are delighted with the care that Tracy provides our children. The kids have become more confident, social and my eldest has really come on with learning the alphabet, numbers, etc.
Tracy is reliable, flexible and I know that my children are well looked after by her. She has made my returning to work from maternity leave so less stressful, especially the first time around! The second time I had no qualms in that my son would be well looked after and be happy and secure in a childminding environment.
