My Summary
About Me
Hello I'm Alice
I have a passion and love of children that makes me thoroughly enjoy the rewarding job that I do.
I am fun and enthusiastic I love planning exciting activities for the children to enjoy and learn through with my love and support.
I enjoy leading the singing at playgroups and seeing the children smile and enjoy playing, learning be watching and joining in makes me very happy.
I have been working as a childminder for 9 years.
Before that I work as a nanny for over 20 years working with children from 0 to 15 years old.
I trained and qualified as a nursery nurse NNEB.
I have been registered as a childminder with Ofsted for over 8 years.
I am a mother with a happy 13 year old daughter in The Compton school.
Now my child is at secondary school I don’t do any school runs at all for her or anybody else’s children.
I like the children in my care to be enjoying their lives playing crawling running and experiencing life with not too many car journeys unless it’s an activity for their benefit.
We have a lovely house with a large indoor area and large garden so lots of space inside and out. I like to get the children outside for at least a minimum of one hour fresh air a day.
Weather permitting, we will be outside as much as possible lots of fresh air.
I have toys and activities for all ages of children including outdoor toys.
I love healthy home-cooked food and I give the children in my care what I give my daughter to eat organic meat and plenty of organic fruit and vegetables whenever possible. I make home-made bread in my breadmaker and fresh soup to go with it and we have lots of water for hydration.
I enjoy looking after a small group of children no more than 2/3 so I can give the children the time and attention they all need as part of a group and as individuals.
I am a warm, honest, fun and outgoing person who will provide a caring, loving, safe, secure, non smoking home with two very gentle friendly cats.
A nourishing environment that I will use to encourage all children in my care to develop to their full potential through play, positive encouragement, praise, an abundance of love with healthy routines and consistency.
I will be working term time only.
If you live within five minutes drive of me, I will happily pick up and drop off with no charge.
I look forward to hearing from you

I am a first time mum, young with my young baby. All I can say for sure is I felt safe with Alice caring for my baby. I am grateful I found her ❤️
Alice looked after my little girl from nine months old to just over two. She helped her learn to eat, walk and talk. She gave cuddles and she nourished her with home cooked meals which were mainly organic. Alice is a cut above any childminder I came across before her. I loved her energy and that the kids were playing and learning, singing and dancing all the time. They went for walks, they went for playgroups and they rested in her home. I would recommend alice to anyone.
My daughter started with Alice when she was 10 months and I had to return to work. I initially felt unsure with the nursery route and met a few childminders. On meeting Alice I knew she was the one for us. Right from day one she was unbelievably loving towards my baby girl, treating her like her own and feeding her nourishing food whilst giving her all her love and bags full of energy. Alice makes every day special, loving, fun, cosy and secure with honesty and care. He house is spacious and garden incredible. Alice takes the kids out about which I really love so that they get a varied day. I will be so sad when we leave but will no doubt be sending my second baby to Alice as soon as I can!
Alice looked after my daughter Ciara for a year until we moved out of the area . I was very nervous about leaving her with anyone Within three days Ciara was putting her hands out for Alice ,Alice ‘s house is an amazing space and her garden is child friendly and very big .
Our son was looked after by Alice for just a short time as we ended up moving away, but we are so glad our first experience of a childminder was with her! On meeting Alice, we knew instantly that we wanted her to look after our son - she is warm, kind and completely has your child's best interests at heart - making sure they feel loved and safe and are able to have lots of play time and feel content. Alice kept us reassured, particularly in the early days, that he was absolutely fine - playing with his friends, a wealth of toys, indoors and out. We were well informed about his eating and drinking - lots of homemade food, sleeping - going down in cot and in pram, nappies etc and we felt very happy leaving him in her safe hands - we are only sorry we had to leave!
