My Summary
About Me
We are a husband and wife team and live on the Eden Park development next to the Bodyshop roundabout just off the A259, in Littlehampton. As there are two of us working together we can give 100% attention and support to any child that requires it and are extremely reliable.
If you have a future full/part time vacancy requirement please do still get in touch as we may be able to accommodate you (children moving on to nursery/school etc)
We offer a warm and friendly family environment, with a dedicated bright spacious play room, a fully enclosed and well equipped garden including a full size ex hire bouncy castle!
We are delighted that the vast majority of children we care for are from word of mouth and recommendations from existing and past parents and still care for children of school age we have had from birth.
Fun and educational activities include, singing and musical instruments, painting, playdough, sticking, cooking, board games, reading and indoor and outdoor toys to meet all age groups.
We are very much a child led setting and offer various activities which include beach and park outings, walking and enjoying our wonderful local woodland, picnics and what ever else the children would like to do. (Covid restrictions have suspended some of the organised child group sessions that we regularly attended)
As a larger than normal setting it offers excellent social interaction opportunities with children of different ages, these are always changing so no two days are ever the same!
We are very flexible and also very reliable and have references from current and past parents. Our last Ofsted inspection was "GOOD" in September 2016.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 18 years previous to childminding I was an au pair and nanny in the uk and also overseas.
Alan has worked with me for the last 9 years and has a background in the security industry and banking, he is also an experienced mini and junior rugby coach.
We have our own experience of raising 3 children.
My Qualifications
We hold up to date paediatric first aid certificate.
Level 2 in food safety
Cache level 3 in childminding practice.
Both upto date in child protection.
I have completed a diploma in home based child care, completing all parts with A's.
We go to regular training courses to keep up to date with any changes.
EYFS training.
Alan has completed the prerequisite Cache course (CYPOP 5) for childminding registration.
Alan has a level 3 in communication and language.
My Availability
Our opening hours are typically 7:30 - 5.30 pm but we are very flexible and will try and meet the needs of any parents. We may be able to offer evening sessions Monday to Thursdays, please contact to discuss these requirements. Babysitting can also be discussed.

Alison and Alan have been super! kind, caring, encouraging, nurturing and like second family to our twin boys. we had been with them from around 9months old until the day before they started school. and cannot fault the care given, they were set up and happy to walk straight into school with no worries or concerns. the personal touches for Christmas, mothers day and Easter were fabulous when they brought home cards and gifts that were really beautiful and keep worthy. we have happy, social, funny and independent little boys with lovely manners 😊

Alison and Alan have been very welcoming. They are extremely professional yet friendly and I feel confident leaving my son in their care. I recieve a detailed review of each days activities and am amazed at the varied programme. They have encouraged my son to develop socially and he is always eager to see them. The house is spacious, modern and immaculately clean. I would recommend them to everyone!

I began my search for childcare a few months ago and after visiting a range of nurseries and childminders in the area, Alison and Alan undoubtedly stood out as the best team I met by far. From the very first day, they took a great interest in not just my daughter, but our whole family as well. Their house is clean, safe and welcoming, and it is an environment that is the right balance of fun, learning and discipline. I also find Alison and Alan flexible and accommodating to the ever changing needs and circumstances of parents. My daughter has now completely settled there and I go to work every morning knowing she's happy and safe.

I travel abroad, happy in the knowledge that my 5 and 9 year old daughters are safe and happy. Alan and Alison are a great team,flexible ans available to discuss and meet personal requirements.
The setting is clean and organised, busy with many happy little faces.

Alison and Alan are amazing childminders for our little girl. They have great values and our daughter always comes home happy after her days with them. Their flexibilty is fantastic and they are incredibly friendly and caring. They have a great clean play area for the children as well as garden equipment and our daughter has come on so much since being with them. She shares a great bond with them and its lovely to know we are leaving her everyday knowing she is happy and well cared for.

I have been very impressed with Alison and Alan they are a very caring husband and wife. They always ensure the safety of the children is paramount and are happy to work around your needs and flexibility.
They have a large clean workspace for the children and outdoor aparators, i fel safe leaving my daughter with them, she has a nice bond with both Alison and Alan and its nice to know when i go to work she is happy in their care :)
