About Me
Hi my name is Janet Hunter. I was born and raised in Birkenhead, moving to Kent in 1996. I live with my husband Ron and our 19 year old son Finlay.
We now live in East Malling village (just off Mill Street) between both East and West Malling train stations which has a direct train line to London.
I live in a 3 bedroomed town house with a small garden.
I have always wanted to work with children and becoming a childminder is a dream come true.
My Experience
I am a mother/step mother to four wonderful boys,three of which have left home to work in the Army and Navy. Our 19yr old son is currently Portsmouth University sponsored by the RAF. I also have six beautiful grandchildren.
I have previously worked in pre-schools with children from the ages of 2-4yrs.
I love working with children there is nothing like getting down to their level and getting messy.
I believe it is my responsability to help children gain their true potential in a safe loving and warm environment.
I currently care for six children of mixed ages spread throughout the week.
We attend local play groups and childminding groups as well as days out to local parks and indoor play areas. We also have days out with other childminders. We go to local parks. The seaside in the summer, Leeds castle and museums.

Janet has been our childminder for our 1.5yr old son since I went back to work full time and we couldn't be happier with her and neither could our son!
Needing a full time place with a childminder I was keen to find someone who would ensure our son got to do lots of different activities and play with children of different ages. Jan provides this and so much more - they are always out and about and I get to see pictures of him daily through her private parents group on Facebook and the diary she fills in for him.
He absolutely loves going to Jan's and is always happy to leave in the morning and happy to tell me about his day when I pick him up. You can tell he's having a brilliant time whenever he is there.
The support and peace of mind through having Jan as a childminder has been absolutely invaluable and I can't thank her enough
