My name is Vicky, I am a nanny looking for permanent, full time work in the Bath/ Keynsham area.
I am very passionate about outdoor and creative play and also love taking children out to explore their local environment. Expect walks through the woods, cosy library visits and lots of arts and crafts.
I do not drive but find children really enjoy the thrill of using public transport.
I believe that every opportunity is a learning opportunity, having the flexibility to go outdoors every day means children get to experience a wide range of different social interactions, encounter things such as letters and numbers around the local environment and of course, we always have the option to stay home under blankets and read books if someone is feeling under the weather.
My Experience
I have been working in early years since I left school 20 years ago. I completed an apprenticeship in childcare and gained my NVQ levels two and three. I spent several years working in nurseries and eventually took on a nursery manager role. I then travelled to Australia and spent some time working in a nursery there to gain an understanding of how their system worked. Upon returning to England I have spent the last 10 years nannying for a number of different families as well as completing my degree in Childhood Studies.
