About Me
Hi, my name is Sheona and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder based in the Stoneleigh/Ewell area covering The Mead Infant School and Auriol Junior School.
I am a married to my husband Ron and we have three children aged 14, 13 and 10yrs.
We live in a 4 bedroom house with a large back garden which the children love to play in when our english weather allows and this provides great access to purpose built cabin in my back garden from which i work out of everyday. This offers children of all ages plenty of both structured and free play opportunity in a safe & clean environment.
My Experience
After spending many years working for Monarch Airlines and then Nuffield Health in Sales & Marketing roles I decided on a career change after having my own children.
I became a Gymboree teacher working in Cheam Village for 4yrs and really enjoyed lots of fun and energetic days there.
It was then that I decided to become a home based childminder and decided to work for myself caring for children from my home.
I am also a member of the Forest School association and each week we visit an outdoor forest area to explore & get up close with nature thats on our doorstep.
My Qualifications
I am registed with Ofsted and have been awarded a 'Good' grading.
I am also trained in Paediatric first aid through the St John Ambulance service and Tigerlily.
I hold a valid DBS check and am continually attending courses to further develop my skills.
My Availability
I currently have 2 full-time EYFS places available 3 days a week and can also offer wraparound care for siblings or school age children.
