My Summary
About Me
I work with my husband Gary who is also a registered childminder and one assistant. We have 4 aduly children, two that live at home. We have been graded as good with outstanding features by Ofsted. We offer 15 & 30 hour funded places to eligible children from 9 months to 3/4 year olds.
We made the decision to become childminders as our own family are now adults and we miss the interaction with babies and toddlers. We provide a caring and loving environment which enables the children to express themselves freely whilst learning key skills. We have a dedicated room for the provision of early years educational needs for children 0 to 5 years old. (Photos of the setting available upon request).
We take the children out regularly to places of interest such as Harewood House, Tropical world, Meanwood valley urban farm and local parks. We provide a nutritional home cooked meal plus snacks throughout the day.
We have Bichon Frise called Alfie who is amazing with the children and they all adore him.
We do not currently offer school drop off and collection.
My Experience
Over 33 years experience raising our own children. Assistant to my parents who were also registered childminders for 20 years. Registered as a childminder in my own right in 2009 and worked full time since alongside my husband. I have 3 registered assistants for emergency/sickness cover.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 2 in Childcare.
Paediatric First Aid.
Certificate in food hygiene.
