My Summary
About Me
Hi there!
My name is Kayleigh and I have worked in a nursery close to the town centre for over 17 years. I feel I have given everything to my career there and I am in need of a change.
I can be quiet when I first meet people, though I am quietly confident. I am good at my job and always give my all. I am organised, creative, and I am able to use my initiative.
I like being outdoors, going on walks and going for bike rides. I love nature and I am a big animal lover. I also like to be creative!
I left my job in February 2024 as I felt I had no more room for development and had got everything I could out of working there. I went travelling for two and a half months and I am now looking for something new.
I would ideally like full time work. I am currently in the process of having refresher driving lessons as I have not driven since my test over a decade ago. I am hoping to get a car in the near future, though I cannot say for certain as to when this may be.
My Experience
I completed two years at Grimsby college to receive my childcare qualification. Through this I did one week at college and one week at a placement for duration of the course. I have not had much experience with babies apart from those through family and friends.
Through my career I have worked with children aged 2-16 years.
I have worked in a school since I was 18. For the first 2 years, I was an early years practitioner working with children aged 3-5. I spent another 5 years in the nursery as an early years practitioner with the 3-4 year old children. I then became the supervisor for the 2-3 year old children, for 2 years. After this, I went back to the nursery and spent the rest of my time as the 3-4 year old room supervisor. I worked my way up to become the Deputy Manager, which was my role when I left. With this role, I was also the special educational needs coordinator, and the deputy safeguarding lead.
I was also the holiday club coordinator providing the activities during school holidays for children from 3-11 years old.
I took the summer out in 2009 to work at an American summer camp which, was amazing!
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education qualification.
I also have Paediatric First Aid.
My Availability
I would like full time work of either 4 or 5 full days if possible.
