About Me
I have been a childminder for the past 10 years and have always viewed my career as a way of life rather than a job, I still look after most of the original children I cared for as babies who now attend full time school. My home is welcome to all, offering a nurturing and educational atmosphere while meeting the needs of all individuals within the group.
I am studying my Childhood and Youth degree in the evenings, which combined with various other training helps me to ensure I can continually offer the highest possible standards of care. Through continuously evaluating my methods, I can deliver the best possible personalised service to both your child and your family unit.
I will deliver the early years education, encouraging each child to excel their personal best using their own interests for play ideas alongside introducing new challenges. Their development will be documented, highlighting areas in which they are ahead of their expected age range while developing those potentially less stronger areas.
I aim to ensure a variety of activities are available including planned and spontaneous outings and playgroups combining messy play, creative, physical and social building skills into each day.
I am flexible, be happy to care for your child/children hours to suit where possible, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
My Experience
I have lots of patience, and able to motivate children to want to learn and develop their skills.
I have experience both with looking after the same children, preparing them well for school life, and also short term care for others.
I am able to help children who may find themselves experiencing speech delays or perhaps behavioural difficulties, through to gifted individuals who continuously thrive for new challenges to be set.
My Qualifications
I hold the relevant required qualaifications, First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene. I have my level 3 nvq early childhood and now studying towards BA Hons early childhood and youth studies and diploma in child development psychology
My Availability
I will try to be available to suit your requirements. I am happy to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
