About Me
I'd like to start by introducing myself. My name is Paige and I am 28. I am a hardworking, ambitious, self-motivated person with a real passion for working with children. I am outgoing, caring and easy going.
I am full time mummy to my 5 year old son and work part time within a day centre for elderly whilst he attends school
I am fun loving and I love working with children, helping them to exceed their goals whether it be within school or with their Gross and Fine motor skills. I like to be active which is one of the many reasons I love being a nanny as children always keep you on your toes.
I like to be creative and imaginative. I also believe it's important for children to socialise sk I will take them to playgroups and arrange play dates with children on a similar age (great nanny network) Visiting local farms, parks and soft plays as well as planning stimulating age appropriate activities at home.
I love being outdoors so rest assured your children will get their daily fresh air.
I believe the early years of childhood are a crucial time, which is why I make sure to engage children in activities to aid all areas of their development, preparing them for school.
I love to cook and I enjoy mixing up some healthy nutritious meals for both myself, my family and friends. I do enjoy to get the children stuck in with cooking and baking when appropriate as it teaches them about good nutrition and helps them to make good food choices as they grow up whilst learning many other skills at the same time. I find children also eat better when their included in the meal preparation. I also have experience cooking fresh healthy nutritious meals for babies in all weaning stages. This includes batch cooking when required.
During my free time I have carried out babysitting for a range of families with children of different ages. I am also part of an amateur dramatics group of which I perform with twice a year, this is something I have done from the age of 4. This enabled me to gain confidence from a young age which makes me want to help children today gain the same confidence to help them to succeed later in life.
I have a 15 year old sister who was born when I was 11 of which over the years has enabled me to experience caring for a new born child and as she has grown up helping her build confidence and the ability to learn whatever comes her way.
