About Me
I'm looking for a nanny live-in/out position to start in London. I'm a professional Spanish nanny with more than 11 years childcare experience in Cambridge, London, and Spain . I've mainly looked after twins for 5 years so I have a great experience with twins, I've also looked after children from 0 to 14 years old, I'm mature easy-going and reliable person, always willing to help around paying attention to family needs. My educational methods is based on a Montessori approach trying to use self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play, I like making creative choices in their learning always offering age-appropriate activities to guide the process.
I'm trying to do my best in everything I do, always in a polite and friendly way, in my Nursery assistant practitioner experience I've got lot of experience in Nurseries and I really enjoyed seeing how children got their achievements and goals, I also got an Advance Safeguarding children certificate that helped my understanding how bulling can affect the children and how to recognise the first signals in the children in order to prevent it and take accion.
I like taking children to different playgrounds and playgroups ( I have a good knowledge about playgroups in Cambridge and London), planning differents activities to keep the children entertained, reading books, and play with them, singing nursery rhymes, and helping them in their development making them feel save and happy.
My Experience
I have experience as a nanny looking after 2 years old twins and a baby brother 1 years old during 4 years with the same family, I've also got more than 10 years childcare experience with children in differents ages, from babies till 14 years old.
I'm a professional nanny and a qualified Nursery practitioner always doing nanny courses to improve my skills, like advanced safeguarding children and paediatrics first aid up to date.
I have good references as required.
I'm very flexible to adapt my working hours to your requirements.
I've also got experience with babies and newborns, and as a SEN nanny.
I've also written a bullying-prevention children book in order to prevent bullying through education It is called "Who broke my Rocket?"
My Qualifications
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner diploma.
Qualified teacher as a TESL (Teaching English as a Second language).
Advanced safeguarding children diploma.
BA Hons Tourism Management Degree.
Languages: English Advance level, Italian basic and Spanish (native).
Experience: More than 11 years experience in childcare, schools and nurseries in Uk and Spain, Nannying and Mother's help, aupair experience in Ireland and SEN nanny experience in Cambridge Uk.
First aid paediatrics certificate up to date.

We posted an offer for a nanny and Laura contacted us. We are looking for a nanny 20 hours a week for which services we offer between 12 and 15 Pounds or even more depending on the person and training, certificates, etc.
We also offer accommodation if needed and we thought it could be a good arrangement to offer the nanny not to pay any rent and in exchange do some light household (not assume everything since we have extra help). Of course that was a separate thing from the nanny job, which would in any case be paid accordingly.
I acknowledge that I might have expressed myself incorrectly and that my words may have given a wrong impression, however Laura insulted me right away and blocked me directly without giving me the opportunity to even explain myself. She has also reported my profile to Childcare without letting me explain myself.
From this episode I have learnt that I must be very careful in the way I explain things and I am actually grateful that this has happened so that I can correct my words and clarify our offer better when we contact other nannies.
I use this space not to report anything bad about Laura but to be able to clarify myself and let this forum know what has actually happened and that we are a nice and honest family.

Thanks Maria for your review and for give me 4 starts rating, hope you find
the right nanny for you , I said no to your nanny job offer because you
offered me accommodation and free time in exchange for doing housekeeping
task for FREE,... so I was really surprised for that and my reaction
wasn't bad , just was like what you offer was no fair and wasn't for me,
so I kindly said to you no thanks .
You also didn't want to tell me how much is paid for and how many hours are
e week etc... so I thought it was very weird.
Just to let you know nannies can't do housekeeping task for free just in
exchange of accommodation and free time, and I just tried to explain you
that .
I respect all what the families required for each differents kinds of Nanny
jobs but yours wasn't for me, even I think it was very unfair asking for
that.... thats way I just hope you change your mind and never again make
that kind or proposal to any other nanny.
