My Summary

My Experience

I currently have fourteen years of experience of working with a varied ages from working in an nursery to secondary schools with
different abilities.
Recently I have worked at St George's Foundation school in Broadstairs. I was working in year two where I support in lessons with group work and 1:1. I feedback daily to the teacher for the students progress. I have worked from reception to year six
at my time here. I supported through SATS.
Here I do interventions daily such as daily reading, number recognition, handwriting, fizzy, clever hands, social skills, zones of
regulations and phonics. I also do reading assessments to see where the children's levels are.
I have worked also at the Secondary site where I taught science for six months to cover maternity leave, for where I planned my
own lessons and carried them out. I supported in many lessons throughout Key stages. I also supported two students who needed
extra support in science GCSE to reach their grades. Which I am glad to report they told me they got the grade they wanted.
I have worked with Secondary schools where I was a cover supervisor which covers lessons in the teachers absents and feedback
with work on return back to school. I would provide feedback everyday.
I have worked within many primary schools where I support a group of children with learning, reading, phonics, rapid maths and
fizzy. I have worked within many year groups throughout primary but mainly KS2.
I would give the teacher feed back on their assessments and their targets they have reached.
A few years now I have worked with Nurseries where I have been promoted to be Senior Nursery Nurse. I have managed a group
of six nursery nurses and taking on key children. I planned and carried out activities my time there. I supported a team of six
nursery nurses. I communicated with parents to let them know about their children's day. Here I completed a SEND two day course.
While I was working within a nursery I took British Sign Language Level 1. This helped me with makaton and using sign fluently.
I worked at the Royal Deaf school as a Residential Support Worker for four and half years. Here I supported children and adults
who were visually impaired, deaf, challenging behaviour, autism and CHARGE. Here I did daily care such as personal care and
taking them out on to trips. Here I communicated in many ways . I also worked within the school and worked with such a varied
different ages. I supported them through learning to help achieve their goals and progress. I supported in many lessons such as
English, maths and life skills. My time here I gained many parts of training such as safeguarding, CHARGE physio, equality and
diversity, medication and my NVQ Level 3 Health and Social care.
