About Me
Hi, I am a registered childminder approved by ofsted. I am a married mum of 4.
I offer a home from home service in a happy, loving, fun atmosphere.
I am close to several parks and have stanborough lakes around the corner so there are plenty of places for physical fun.
Im around the corner from a library whom do a rhyme and story time for toddlers weekly.
I am a member with willows farm and with English Heritage (I try and visit places working with what the older children are studying at school if possible),also other outings such as fruit picking, Hatfield House park seaside trips plus various others. I am associated with Forest school also.
I provide suitable, fun developmental experiences appropriate to the age and stage of each child.
My Experience
On top of the courses (cypop5) I have 4 children of my own two boys of 18 and 24 and two girls of 12 and 10.
I try and do various courses throughout the year, during lockdown I completed level 1 and 2 in Mental health awareness in children and young people.
I keep up to date on Safeguarding and first aid.
I used to look after a 4 year old with mild learning difficulties for a while so have a little experience in this and am currently doing a behaviour management course.
I have been looking after several children now of all ages and various ethnicity.
I am DBS checked and on the update system so checked annually as is my husband and two sons. These are available on request. I take data security very seriously.

My Availability
I am available Mon and Fridays 7.30 to 17.00, Tuesday, Weds and Thurs 7.30 to 18.00 I can be flexible on the hours please just ask.
I cover swallowdell primary school.
I am currently full however I have an assistant starting with me in the new year so will have a full time space becoming available then.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6. per hour I offer a discounted fee for siblings. I also accept funding and 20% from HMRC (childcare choices)

My Eldest went to Louise, when I went back to work from Maternity leave until she came of school age, there were tears all round when we had to leave her setting. Evie LOVED her time with 'Weez' and has lots of lovely memories of being there. She still wants to go back and talks about Louise, her mindees and family all the time!
Louise always plans fun and thoughtful activities for the kids and made Evie feel part of the family.
Louise is so approachable and easy to talk to, we loved how laid back and easy Louise made everything. We had regular photos, updates and loved seeing what Evie was up to. She made great friendships and really blossomed under Louise's care.
My youngest will be going to her in the Summer and I can not wait for him to get settled, I know he is going to love life in the Eagles Nest.
I couldn't recommend Louise enough!

Lou is a very patient, reliable and trustworthy childminder. My kids 7 and 10 enjoyed her service. Lou was able to satisfy my 10 Year old ,pre-teen attitude.
I will recommend Lou to any parent looking for a childminder service.
We will be using Lou again, in the long term.

My daughter was very happy being with Louise. She absolutely loved being with her and came back home with a smile everyday.. I felt very relaxed when my daughter settled the very first day with her. She also enjoyed all the activities she did there. Louise has been very approachable at all times. Thanks a lot for your support.
