About Me
Hello! My name is Sonia and I am from a small town in the South of Spain, and I am 39 years old. I love children because I always wanted to make people feel good, specially old people and children. It is something natural in me, maybe because I am a very empathetic person. Usually, I have a very quick connection with them in general.
Among my likes, maybe you would like to know I like painting, hanging out with my friends, walking, planting some flowers, reading, doing handcrafts, cooking, travelling, dancing flamenco and modern.
Besides, I would like to metion that I belonged to the Forest Gate Community Garden where I met wonderful, healthy and pleasant people.These days, I do not have too much time to visit them, but I am always in touch with some of the members. I consider them my friends in London.
Regarding my qualities to work with children, people think that I have a lot of patience, willingness and creativity. Also, I am funny, hard-working, caring and trustworthy, speacially when it comes to children care. I tried to look after them as they were mine.
In terms of my studies, I have a BA degree in English, and I am a Qualified Spanish and English Teacher as a Foreign Language.
Normally, I worked as a Teacher Assistant, Cover Supervisor and Nursery Nurse through agencies, at Primary and Secondary education schools. Also, I have plenty of experience working in nurseries. Also, I currently teach Spanish to adults and children (in person and online).
According to my professional and living experience in UK ; I lived in London with a family (Aldersbrook) for some months in 2017. Also, I lived with another family in Liverpool, because I got a scholarship from the Spanish Government in 2008. Moreover, I was Au Pair in summer in Wokingham (2011). Also, I worked as a nanny live in and full time position for a wonderful family, in South Tottenham (Borough of Haringey) (August 2017-March 2019). The children that I looked after were 5 years and 2 years old.
Furthermore, I have a lot of experience looking after many family children in London, and they could give you their excellent references.
I have QTS, updated and enhanced DBS. Moreover, I have a lot of experience working with children of all ages in different fields; Teacher, Monitor in summer camps, Teacher Assistant, Cover Supervisor, Au pair, Childminder, Nanny and Babysitter). Also, as I mentioned above, I have experience working in nurseries with babies and toddlers in London.
My last experience was looking after twins when they were 10 months until they were 1 year old. This was a short period job (May - July), full time and sole charge. I also have excellent references from this experience.
These days, I do a lot of babysitting too.
I am currently looking for a part time job or full time job as a live out Nanny. Also, I could do some babysitting. Ideally, I am looking for an English speaking family (not necessary born and raised in England, but able to communicate in English). Furthermore, if you want to contract me as Spanish tutor, would be wonderful.

My Experience
I have a lot experience working as a Nanny and Babysitter in Haringey, and other parts of London (Chelsea, Muswell Hill mainly).
As regards my previous experience with children, I am always surrounded with children because I used to look after my two nephews since they were babies (two boys; 11 years old and 7 years old). Even though I look after them when I go to Spain on holidays. I love them!!! They are my life!!
On the other hand, I have been working as a English Teacher with children from 2 years old to 16 years old (in different moments and places). Moreover, I have worked as a English teacher and English monitor in two camps (cleaning, serving the dinner in the dinning room, doing funny activities such as choreography... among others).
Furthermore, I worked as an Au Pair in Wokingham some years ago. When I was there, I was looking after three children (two girls; 9 and 7 years old and a boy 5 years old). The things I used to do there were; cleaning the house, playing with the children, take them to the school, and pick them up, cooking, going to the park...and so on.
Moreover, I have a lot of experience working with children in London. As I am registered with different agencies to work at schools and nurseries. Also, I do babysitting for other families.
Also, I think it is important to mention that I did volunteering work as a Spanish Teacher in a high school. Furthermore, I teach Spanish (private lessons) to children and adults.
