About Me

Hi there,
I am looking for a local family who require help with morning school runs &/ or school pick ups . I am able to arrive earlier and prepare breakfast if needed, and stay that little bit longer at the end of the day to help with tea time if needed.
Unfortunately I do not drive so please scroll down my profile to see the schools that are local and closest to me .
I am a fully qualified early years practitioner, I began looking after other people’s children when I left school and became a nanny/ mothers help. I gave up childcare to have my own family in 1988 after the birth of my first child and I was fortunate to be a stay at home Mum for all my children, not returning to work until they were all in full time education.
I retrained at The Hollies Shrewsbury, this is where I gained my NVQ level 2, I obtained employment in a local nursery school where I was a teaching assistant caring for three and four year olds and we regularly mixed with the reception class, I also worked in the baby/ toddler room.

I obtained my nvq diploma in pre school practice level 3 via distant learning with NEC, ( National Extension College) I also gained my forest school certificates I am a fully qualified level 3 Forest School Leader and I really enjoy opening the outside classroom to children. Giving children the opportunity to take risks in a safely controlled environment is a fantastic way to raise a child’s self esteem and confidence and given time presents an I can do I attitude.

I have had SEN experience and 1-1 experience. I Consider myself to be a caring, loving and patient person . I love teaching children, I often believe they teach us as adults such a lot too and this is why it is so important to listen to them, involve them in decision making , allow them to offer their opinions. I believe that children should be given the time and the encouragement to think things out for themselves, giving them every opportunity to practice logical thinking and attempt problem solving .

I have an understanding Autism level 2 certificate.
All qualifications gained can be shown and references given.

I am looking for family who may require someone to help and support them in the mornings with breakfast and school drop offs & pick ups at the end of the school day. Or are you a childminder who may need occasionally assistance?

Unfortunately I do not drive so local to SY2 would be more ideal .
