My Summary
About Me
My name is Katie and I am 27 years old. I live near Roath Park, Cardiff.
I am a caring, confident and patient Nanny who has a passion for helping young people reach their full potential. My role as a Nanny is to help develop, nurture and care for children, taking into consideration both the parents and children’s needs in sensitive situations. From this I have developed exceptional time management, organisational and pro-active thinking skills towards planning and preparing schedules, as well as being responsible of taking and tracking of payments. My experience in various primary schools and retail jobs has helped hone my interpersonal skills enabling me to interact well with people of all ages. In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano as it gives me a source of pleasure and fulfilment. I feel that playing an instrument has a positive impact on my emotions. I also enjoy reading in all forms, particularly poetry and I love gardening and being outdoors.
My Experience
My most recent job was working as a Primary Teaching Assistant and my most recent nanny position before that was working part-time for a family with three children aged 1, 5 and 8 and my last employment before that was working in a nursery with children ages 3 months to 5 years old.
I worked with all children - babies, toddlers and pre-school. My responsibilities were to plan activities which work towards the Early Years Foundation Stage and to be a key person and help hone their development. To communicate effectively with parents/carers about their children's progress and follow all policies and procedures to ensure safety of all children.
My last job before moving to Bristol was working with David Lloyds as a Kids Team Member, and my responsibilities were to provide fun and engaging activities for children from the ages of 0-14 and above; Running and organising Holiday Club and Parties; Providing children and families with a safe, secure and welcoming space; Helping children build positive self-esteem, increase feelings of physical and mental wellbeing and improving their fitness levels; Following the health and safety guidelines and ensuring the safety of children at all times in our classes and in the club under our supervision.
I have worked as part time nanny for four young children, a 6-month-old baby girl, 2, 4, and 6 year old boy. My responsibilities were to make breakfast and feed baby a bottle in the morning, get the boys ready for school, safely take them to school; After school drop off, go to soft play or other play groups with 2-year-old and baby; Make lunch; Changing nappies; Play with the children, read to and with them, provide engaging activities; Collect boys from school; Snack time and Play.
I have worked as a full time nanny for two boys aged two and five years old, my duration of employment was from November 2017 till July 2018.
My responsibilities were to: Prepare Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; Help children with brushing their teeth, putting there shoes and coats on; Pack a bag for the day with spare clothes, nappies, wipes, snacks and toys; Take or drop off and pick up the children from nursery/school/playgroups/activities/appointments; Take the children on fun days out to the beach, museum, and park; Light housework – make the children’s beds, wash and dry their clothes, make sure their rooms are tidy and wash any dishes used; Bath or Shower the children; get them ready for bed and prepare a bottle for the youngest; Play and read before bedtime.
Before my full time nanny position i worked as a part time nanny for two families, one family with a girl two years of age, and another family with two girls aged two and six. I have also and still do provide temporary care and babysitting services to other families with children from the ages of 6 months to 14 years old.
I have experience working as a Student Teacher Assistant at Birchgrove Primary School, Christ The King R C Primary School, and Courts Primary School.
Courts Primary School is a special school, therefore i have gained experience caring for young children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and my responsibilities in all schools were to interact well as part of a team with all members of staff as well as using my own initiative and ensuring that i stick to a strict set of rules and guidelines in a professional practice.
I really enjoy spending time and providing care for children of all ages and I would love the opporunity to help and be apart of your child/children's upbringing.
I have a Child Workforce DBS check registered with the update service and Chaperone DBS check.

Katie is a very great nanny and bonded with my baby boy (7 months at the time) very quickly! I was very positively surprised how quickly Katie adapted to our family and how my boy warmed up to her. Katie is also a very lovely person, who is easy to be around and genuine.
Katie was amazing . Needed a baby sitter urgently. Katie responded very quickly. She taken care of my 7 year old for the whole day. She was busy with her doing arts and craft became her friend very quickly. My daughter was very comfortable with Katie.
I wish Katie all the best for future!!

Warm, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, attuned to our daughter’s needs - with great credentials!
We are over the moon we invited Katie into our home to look after our 11mth old baby girl. We’ve previously never left our daughter with anyone other than direct family and for no more than a couple of hours, so understandably we were a bit nervous and worried she wouldn’t settle. I felt confident with Katie as soon as she walked through the door and her and our daughter had an instant connection which was great! She kept us up to date with how our daughter was getting on and sent us photos which we found really helpful. We were out for seven hours with no problems, a welcomed break for us as new parents.
I highly recommend Katie to any family looking for childcare and we are 100% looking forward to inviting her back to care for our sweet girl again.
Thank you Katie! You star!
Katie has been providing daycare and babysitting for our 15 month old for over 12 months.
We feel confident leaving him with her and know he’s always going to be well looked after and have a lovely time.
Katie is so great with him and he’s always so excited to see her. She is attentive, warm, fun and reads his needs well. She is creative with fun and educational activities to keep him busy and is happy taking him out and about, feeding, changing, putting him to bed etc. She is very flexible and nothing is too much trouble.
We would 100% recommend Katie if you are looking for a daycare provider or babysitter.
Thank you Katie!
We have 15yr old, 7yr old and 15 month old. Katie interacts and juggles them all really well! I was very impressed. She asked all the right questions, learned the kids needs and followed instructions amazingly. Our youngest doesn’t love when I leave but Katie helped make the experience run smooth and stress free.
Katie is a natural with kids, she’s confident and warm. My kids look forward to seeing her.
I look forward to booking Katie again and again AND AGAIN!
