Hi everyone,
My name is Yasmin. I am a friendly, bubbly mum to my lovely 8-year-old daughter who will be 9 in November and a 4-year old boy who turns 5 in October. Both now at school.
I love taking the children in my care on little adventure, this could be to the local park or an adventure through the nearest woods/countryside. I also love to do baking with the children, Art craft, and other activities that challenge their minds as much as possible.
I have a diploma in childcare Level 3 and have worked in a private school with an attached nursery for 12 years. I have also for 3 years been a part-time nanny for a lovely family, where until my daughter started school, both my children have also come with me, which helps create an amazing environment for the family’s children, giving them a chance to interact with each other and become play mates, creating a fun and wonderful atmosphere. We were all very sad when this role came to an end as the youngest child was of school age. It was such a pleasure to watch him grow up.
The past year I have worked in an infant school with SEN children on a 1-1 basis.During this time I also worked with small groups of children with SEN. I have really enjoyed this role and have learnt a lot from all of the children that I have worked with.
My Experience
I’ve worked within childcare for 15 years. My roles have varied from nursery nurse to classroom assistant, I have also worked as a 1-1 with a special needs child which I found very rewarding. Also now having my own children I have had lots of hands on Mummy experience which you can’t learn through training. For the last 3 years I have nannied part time for a lovely family with boys aged 4 and 10 I have been with them since the youngest was just 1 and now he has gone to school which has been a lovely journey to watch and be part of. I have in that time taken my daughter and son with me and have been in sole charge of all 4 children. This works really well and I feel they all gain from this in a variety of ways. I enjoyed this nannying experience very much.
In the last year I have worked in an infant school as an LSA with SEN children on a 1-1 basis.
