About Me
Hello, my name is Paulette and I will be offering an Ofsted registered childminding service called 'Polly's Pockets' from my home in St Ann's Nottingham. I am 58 years old with 3 grown up children & 6 grandchildren between the ages of 18 months to 9 years, I come from a very large family of 10 siblings, that's a lot of nieces & nephews so I have many years experience & a great wealth of knowledge with children of all ages, behaviours & abilities.
I spent 24 years working as a carer for Nottingham City Council, this job introduced me people from all walks of life & helped me gain valuable knowledge in how to adapt to different cultures, races & religions
I also have certificates in Health & social care, dementia training level 3, Social Care NVQ level 2 & all are available to be seen on request. I have also had training in food hygiene & medication care & I have plans to gain more training certificates.
My personal hobbies include a lot of crafty pursuits such as knitting & sewing, I also love reading & cooking, baking in particular
In summary I feel my experience of working with the public in a carer's position & my life skills with my own children & grandchildren mean I really have a lot to offer as a childminder
My Experience
Worked with Nottingham city council as a carer for 24 years caring for people with dementia. I have 3 grown up children and 6 grandchildren.
My Qualifications
Safeguarding & promoting the welfare of children level 3 paediatric first aid EYFS training as well as life skills and flexibility
My Availability
Having been a carer for many years I know how difficult it can be to find childcare around your hours. I aim to be as flexible as possible. I can offer alternate weekend hours

Paulette is a fantastic person aswell as a fantastic childminder. My 2 children age 6 and 10 go with paulette daily in the mornings and daily in school holidays. My children are well cared for and always arrive safely to there local school. She works with them and around them to make sure there happy and fed and they clearly are as my children tell me when asked.she takes her time out to also talk about the children and discuss anything i may need. I wouldnt ask for another childminder and neither would the kids , 100 percent confident in recommending paulette to anyone :)

Polly has transformed our lives, I don't know how I managed without her. She is reliable, flexible and my boys adore her. She offers a great variety of entertainment for 2 very active boys.
I am so happy and lucky to have found her. I would recommend Polly 100% to anyone who is looking for great, honest and reliable child care. I honestly cannot fault her.
