About Me
I am a mum of two grown up girls and step mum to two boys and a girl, all grown up now. I work full time for Lewisham Council. I enjoy the company of children , especially under fives. I was a nanny and childminder (not registered) when my girls were young. I have time on my hands at the weekend now that the children are all grown up and doing their own thing and can offer babysitting to families living in the Lewisham area, particularly Brockley, New Cross, Crofton Park, Ladywell as I would prefer not to travel too far from home. I am also near to Nunhead.
My Experience
Kindergarten Aide, American Embassy School, The Gambia, West Africa for 1 year approx.
Childminder and nanny for three years
Children's Centre Administrator and Receptionist, Ladywell Children's Centre for 7 years, sadly, made redundant October this year
Volunteer at The Rainbow Club Saturday School Ladywell for 6 months
Mum of 2 own children and stepmum of 3 other children
Shortly to become back-up Foster Carer for my neighbour who I babysit for on a regular basis for her own son which I have done since he was a toddler up to now he is 7 years old
Due to working in the Children's Centre I have a current DBS with Lewisham and have had CRB prior to this for about 8 years.
My Qualifications
I have no formal childcare qualifications but have undertaken Safeguarding training at Lewisham council.
I also have first aid training but my certificate has now lapsed.
I am well educated , literate and numerate and have a real interest in early childhood education through play.
My Availability
09:00 - midnight Saturday and Sunday (negotiable)
18:30-23:00 Monday to Friday
