My Summary
About Me
I live in Buxworth with my husband, 11 year old daughter, my Mum & her partner in a fun, nurturing and busy household. I offer a caring and consistent environment for children to learn, develop and thrive. I provide lots of activities - arts and crafts, music and dance, trips out to playgroups, farms, museums. Living in Buxworth and surrounded by fields we have lots of fun walks, wildlife and nature experiences. We have the luxury of our own acre field for lots of running around, exploring and sporty activities. There is an enclosed patio area with playhouse, ride on toys, water/sand area. We are a family of animal lovers -we have a lively retriever cross called Willow. We’ve had a few pets over the years and find they are a great addition to the family and provide a new experience for some children learning (how to) and (helping to) care for animals.

My son has been cared for by Diane for 2 days a week from 9 months and he absolutely loves it. I was initially very nervous about returning to work and leaving him as he had struggled with playgroups and classes and seemed to find being in groups difficult. Diane was incredibly accommodating to my concerns and arranged a fantastic settling in programme which allowed me to take him for short sessions at first and gradually build up time until he was more than happy to stay for full days. He loves going so much now that he can't wait to get there, and I feel happy going to work, safe in the knowledge that he is somewhere he loves, where he is receiving excellent care. He now has a busier social life than me, regularly visiting farms, play groups and parks and takes part in lots of exciting activities. I can see how much he has developed and benefited from being around other children and Diane has been incredibly flexible, taking into account school holidays, which is such a huge help as I am a teacher. Me and my husband couldn't recommend Diane more highly and we feel lucky to have found her.

Our child, now two years old, has been looked after by Diane from the age of six months. His care has ranged from one to five days per week. He looks forward to his visits, and has made friends there. I think he has benefited from interacting with a range of different ages of children. Diane offers various fun activities including craft, cooking, and visits to the local farm. We've greatly appreciated her flexibility towards varying hours each week, and last-minute changes in arrangements.
