About Me
I’m a fluent Welsh speaker who is passionate about teaching and the use of the Welsh language in both children and adults in Wales. I have worked with children from Nursery school through to Post 16 education, and have taught adults in local Colleges and other community settings. I have an 'A' level in Welsh, a degree in Social and Political Administration (studied bi-lingually - Welsh/English) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE/Distinction)
I am committed to teaching Welsh to anyone who has a need or a desire to learn the language, and have a huge interest in supporting children of primary school age to master the foundations of the language by strengthening reading skills and making the language 'useable'. Should they wish to seek employment in Wales in the future, this will naturally give them an advantage. Currently providing sessions via Zoom, which are proving to be very popular and successful.
My Experience
I have experience of teaching units on a variety of subjects in the medium of Welsh from Nursery to Post 16, and have also taught Welsh to adults in local Colleges.
My Qualifications
GCSE (O Level) Welsh, A Level Welsh, BA Degree in Social and Political Administration (studied bi-lingually) Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE/Distinction).
My Availability
I am available some days and evenings up until 8.30pm. I may also consider occasional weekend work.
