About Me
My name is Janie and I have been a Registered Childminder for 13 years.
I am registered with Care Inspectorate and a member of Scottish Childminding Association.
I live in a 4 bedroom house in Clarkston with a dedicated playroom for childminding and a child friendly garden with lots of toys for outdoor play.
I have a 7 seater car which has full business insurance and appropriate car seats fitted depending on the age and stage of your child.
Children in my care will take part in lots of fun activities and outings. We regularly attend local toddler groups, bookbug, softplay, parks, library, science centre, museums and much more.
During the school holidays when we are not restricted by pickup times, we enjoy going further afield to Edinburgh Zoo, Almond Valley, Culzean Castle, Dean Castle, Dumfries house and many more.
My opening hours are 8am-6pm.

My Experience
I am a Mum to 2 wonderful boys aged 18 and 14 which has given me plenty of practical experience of looking after children.
I am also a Brownie Leader and have been in charge of my Brownie Pack for the last 29 years. I have organised and taken the girls away on many trips and outings, including a sleepover at Blackpool Tower, Deep Sea World Aquarium and Glasgow Science Centre. I love spending time with the girls and getting to know them better.

I will take up to 6 weeks holiday per year.
06/03/25 - Tue/Fri full day space for baby/preschooler available from mid August 2025. I operate a 2 day minimum contract.
2 day space available from January 2026. Exact days can be confirmed April/May 2025.
