My Summary
About Me
My name is Jodie and I am a married mum of two children aged 18 and 15.
We have a loving child friendly home and a secure garden which includes a grass area and paved area. We have a log cabin which we have converted to a play room as well as our home. We have a wide range of toys although we are always on the lookout for new exciting things to add to our collection.
We go on regular outings to local parks, farm and sealife centre. We like to take walks at the nature reserves and enjoy looking for nature and friendly statues when taking our walks.
I follow the EYFS and each child has a learning journal which follows their development enabling me to provide educational and fun activities.
Child led activities are encouraged along with long term planning, Based on the children's individual needs to help them develop.
I am able to accept 2,3,4 year old funding 15 hours / 30 hours based on eligibility and family requirements.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 7 years starting as an assistant to another Ofsted registered childminder, then working towards earning my level 3 in Childcare which I completed in 2012. I then went on to register with Ofsted and worked alongside another Childminder.
I previously worked in a primary school as a midday assistant for 2 years.
I am constantly updating my childcare knowledge and work towards gaining further education in specialised areas.
