I am a qualified Nursery Nurse with over 30 years of experience. I live in Abingdon, I hold a full clean driving license. I like to do lots of fun things trips to the park, bus rides, attending local groups. I believe that I’m fun and fair when it comes to discipline. I’m friendly, bubbly, professional in my field and kind hearted. I have a positive approach towards children.
My Experience
I am an Ofsted registered child minder , after leaving a long standing position in a private day care at a leading nursery. I worked in most of the rooms with ages from 4 months to 5 years, although my main room was in with the babies)
I also ran a local Pre-school for 10 years where I was the supervisor.
I have also worked as a Private Nanny and a Daily Nanny. I now offer good quality fun care within my own home.

My one year old really bonded with Donna over a short period of time, and my partner and I felt very happy with the care that he received while being looked after by her. Donna provided plenty of activities in a safe and friendly environment, but also made sure to take the kids to the park for some fresh air and play. She also mixed with other childminders and playgroups in the area so that my son got to spend lots of time with other children, which I'm sure helped his social skills. I was always touched to receive Mother's day, Valentine's, Easter and Christmas cards from my son which Donna had helped him create, it was a real personal touch, and I'm sure my son enjoyed doing them.
I would highly recommend Donna as a childminder!

Donna has taken great care of my 2,5 year old son from November to mid December 2021. We had just arrived in the UK from Brazil and, even though he spoke almost no English at all, she managed to communicate very well with him.
He had a great time - he always wanted to stay more and come back the next day - and learned a lot in his time with her. He even managed to start learning some English vocabulary in the process.
Besides being very understanding with our special situation, Donna offered a safe and cozy environment with lots of different activities for the children everyday, both indoors and outdoors. She was also very concerned and careful with the safety protocols regarding the Covid situation.
In summary, our experience with Donna was excellent and we most definitely recommend her to any families looking for an amazing child care provider.

Donna looked after our 2-year old twin girls for 3 days a week while I was recovering from a double hip-replacement operation. She just knows how to handle children and has such an easy and calm way about her, which lulled the girls into the same state. They had SO much fun with her, with a mix of trips out, activities indoors and in her lovely garden. Giggling was a regular occurrence when the girls were with Donna. What I loved is that she looked after our girls in such a caring and considerate way, but with firm and fair boundaries. It was a great relief knowing the girls were in such capable and experienced hands, and it was with genuine sadness that we had to say goodbye to Donna when I was well enough to take over again. We really appreciated how much she taught them and how much fun she created for them while they were in her care. We miss her already, and the girls regularly ask about her – their affection for her was obvious. I couldn't have asked for a better "replacement mummy" than Donna. I would not hesitate to highly recommend her to anyone and feel very lucky to have found her. (I have not rated food as we provided food in this instance as one of our girls is very fussy and I felt familiar foods would be best on a short-term basis.)
