About Me
We provide a fun, friendly learning environment for your child/ children. We have a variety of toys, books and resources that we use to provide fun for your child whilst they learn.
We follow the Early years Foundation Stage (EYFS) set out by the department for education. ( dfe)
We enjoy visits to the variety of parks and playgrounds, toddler groups, exploring through the woods, visits to farms and museums etc all these visits provide valuable learning experiences for your child and helps develop the skills they need throughout their lives.
My Experience
I have been ofsted registered since 1994, so have been a childminder for 24 years. I work 5 days a week but also work 3 of those days with another ofsted registered childminder with 40 years of valuable experience. We work together in her family home and have done so since I became registered.
I have experience looking after children with special needs and disabilities, and have worked with outside agencies including speech and language, therapist, physiotherapist and occupational therapist etc.
I have experience in using makaton.
I have experience looking after children with special dietary needs and allergies.
My Qualifications
I have paediatric first aid, which I update every three years.
I have achieved my Diploma level 3 in children and young people's workforce.
I have attended any training I feel beneficial in helping me improve my skills as a childminder, including, behaviour management, enabling environments, safeguarding.
I also read publications, and visit websites to keep me updated with the rules and regulations of the Early Years Foundation Stage ( EYFS) and do online training.
My Availability
I am available 5 days a week 8-5 but can be flexible either side of these times. We are also available through term time, and out of term time.

My Fees

These are discussed and based on individual requirements.
All fees are inclusive of meals, snacks and outings.
I am also registered with many different childcare voucher schemes, and am registered for the 15/30 free hours

Our 2 year old has been looked after by Jo and Dianne for over a year now and we are so happy we found them. They are fantastic at what they do, it makes it so easy leaving our little boy with them several times a week. They are always taking the kids out and about to various places, and when they aren't the children are kept busy with activities and education. Could not recommend enough! Such kind and caring people.

Joanne and Diane are incredibly welcoming, my 8 month old has been going to their house for almost 4 months now and he is very happy when I drop him off and pick him up! I like how the house is really a home, with pictures on the walls of all the children (now grown up!) who have passed through over the many years they have been running. I like that they go out to local toddler groups and have walks in the bluebell woods. Can't recommend highly enough!
