About Me
I have over 10 years of experience working in a range of childcare settings, from a sole care live in nanny, to volunteering in schools and other settings. I am passionate about working with children, and providing a safe, fun and engaging environment in which they can learn and flourish! I graduated from cardiff university with a degree in psychology. Modules have included child development, abnormal development, development of psychopathology in children and adolescence, and I since trained as cognitive behavioural therapist.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience with children, ranging from the ages of 4 months upwards. I have worked as a live in nanny for a family with 4 children (inc. twins aged 3) in America for two consecutive summers. I also have experience nannying and babysitting locally, with responsibilities including drop off and pick up, preparation of nutritious meals, bedtime routines, helping with homework and planning a range of fun and educational activities. I have previously worked as a live in mothers help in London and I also have experience volunteering in both a mainstream primary school, a Steiner school and a forest school. I love working with children and have experience in a variety of settings.
I have a Leiths cookery qualification and am a confident cook. I also really enjoy baking with children and teaching new skills in fun and engaging ways.
I have been DBS checked and I have completed a 2-day intensive paediatric first aid course. I also have a full, clean driving licence.
