About Me
Hello my name is Felicity. I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Torquay.
I live in a three bedrooms house where we have a lovely open plan playroom/dining area.
Being a childminder allows me to offer the children I care for great opportunities and experiences to explore the world that we live in. Each day is different and the children get so many opportunities to thrive and learn.
My aim is to provide the children with stimulating learning opportunities that reflect their age and stage of development. I understand each child is an individual and I treat all children with care, empathy and respect.
I am very outgoing and enjoy being outside with the children giving them new learning experiences.
I have a close network of childminding friends and we plan activities together such as sports day and forest school sessions so that the children can be part of a larger group which helps them develop their social skills.
We enjoy going to the local parks for picnics, the zoo, woodlands, playgroups, swimming, walks as well as letting the children have time for reading and creative play.
All children in my care are set up with a WhatsApp group which I send daily updates and pictures to.
I have always believed that working in close partnership with parents allows the children to thrive and feel secure in my setting. I welcome any feedback to help me run my business as successfully as possible.
My working days are Monday-Thursday
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 14 years now. When undertaking my studies to gain my qualifications I worked in an open plan nursery with children from birth-5 years. I worked as a nanny in a home environment for 8 years before registering as a childminder so have experience in all areas of childcare. I was babysitting from the age of 14 and have always been around people with children and looking after young ones.
My first nanny job was for twin girls who were 18 months when I started looking after them and I cared for them right up until they went to school.
I have worked with children with food allergies so am able to work with the parents if the children have any special dietary requirements.
I have experience with school pick ups and drop offs so am able to liaise with the parents with any messages or news that the school passes on.
I have experience with children who have English as an additional language so am able to work closely with families to ensure that we are supporting the children in the correct way.
My nannying job was caring for twins so I have experience in this area also.

Felicity goes beyond being a Childminder she is very flexible and amazing at her job. Both my boys are very different characters and both love attending Felicity's setting. Felicity is even around on bank holidays if needed and covers all of the odd school training days too as well as the school holidays. All in all you won't find better childcare and the kids also get lovely home cooked healthy food and are taken out and about all over the place and have a lovely network of friends and this is all down to the amazing job that Felicity does!
