About Me
I am a 27 year old woman who has just started working as a student social worker. I was previously completing an MA at UCL after my contract as a youth worker came to an end. I am looking for adhoc work with children whilst I study to continue the trajectory my career has been going in. I love working with young people, creating empowering, creative, educational and play environments.
I am currently living in West Dulwich where I am an enthusiastic gardener and cook. I also love drawing, and riding my bike around the beauty spots of South London. I love exploring the world, having lived in both Israel and Australia for a year, and having studied for my undergraduate degree in Edinburgh. My favourite thing about living in those different places was the beautiful nature as I love being outside, and am never afraid to get my hands dirty.

My Experience
I am a patient, energetic individual with extensive experience in childcare. Having taken on babysitting roles from a young age, I have consistently been caring for children since. My roles have been incredibly varied, requiring me to both engage in educational experiences as well as play with young people. I have always found these experiences extremely rewarding, and am passionate about facilitating children’s experience of the world as empowered agents of their own lives, whilst helping to set appropriate and safe boundaries for them.
As a youth worker, my responsibilities include overseeing the safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare of the participants on our residential events, as well as facilitating the running of our leadership training programme. This programme is framed by youth work and child development theory to ensure our leaders have a strong understanding of young people’s varied behaviours.
