About Me
I am a member of The Scottish Childminding Association and have completed my training in an Introduction to childminding course and have a current valid Baby and Toddler First Aid Certificate. I have a full clean Driving licence (with home and car Business insurance) I also provide Healthy Breakfast and snacks and have my Food Hygiene pass from East Renfrewshire council and have both certificates in Food preparation and Infection prevention and control. I am also a member of the Clarkston and Busby childminding association, which gives lots of opportunities for socialising with children of similar ages.
As a registered Childminder I look after children in my home and offer a flexible service to parents from Monday to Friday. I provide a smoke-free environment with a safe, friendly atmosphere in line with the Health and Social care standards: My Support, My Life and I encourage children of all ages to play and learn together. I particularly enjoy outdoor play and will try and take the children outside as often as possible and take advantage of the many beautiful parks East Ren and the surrounding areas have to offer.
My Experience
I come from a large family and have 2 children plus our dog Bonnie.
I have voluntary experience in working with children doing confidence building within the local community whilst I was completing my HND in Acting and performance.
My Qualifications
SCMA - introduction to childminding course pass
Full, clean driving licence and own car
Baby and Toddler - first aid with St Andrews First Aid
Food Hygiene pass from East Renfrewshire council - can provide breakfast and snacks for children
SCMA - Infection Prevention And Control in Childcare Settings course SCMA - Outdoor play course
I am ALSO committed to my continued professional development, and will access a minimum of 12 hours of professional learning per year.
My Availability
I am open for business from Monday to Friday and the hours can be flexible to meet your needs.
I will not be available for evening or weekend care.
I currently have a space for a pre school child Mon-Friday 9am till 3pm term time only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£5 per hour, £15 Drop off and pick up from school, £25 half day (including nursery Wrap around) and £40 full day

My daughter has been with Gemma for almost a year and it's been the best experience for her. She gets so many fun experiences, a loving family environment to spend time in, and so much care and attention. Gemma takes her on loads of amazing trips and she gets so much time enjoying the outdoors. Gemma has helped her build her confidence and she has thrived in this setting. We absolutely thank our lucky stars we found Gemma and are so grateful for finding the best person to care for our child!

Gemma is an absolute goddess in our house! My wee boy spends two days per week with Gemma and he is treated like one of the family. Gemma has so much energy and is never short of brilliant activities and adventures. Absolutely delighted that we found Gemma and highly recommend her for others too :-)

Gemma is great with our daughter. They have a great bond and we know she is in safe hands with Gemma. They do lots of fun activities which is great for her development.
