My Experience

I started my career journey as a Senco/deputy manager at a preschool.
I then went on to be a Care worker at a residential deaf school working during the evenings and weekends.( waking and sleep ins included) when I finished my degree I joined a local primary school as the Family support worker and then trained to be the ELSA for the school. I worked closely with the local authority who then approached me about a job working in the educational sector supporting children in school who are struggling. So I became a Behaviour/therapeutic support worker for the local authority.
I became a Manager of a residential charity for homeless 16-25year olds just before the pandemic started, I helped run 2 residential
Homes for homeless youngsters who have either their left the care system or have become homeless due to family break downs. I loved this job but found working 60hours including sleep ins and weekends and being on call 24/7 was taking me away from my family and I needed to make a decision and create a balance.
I am now a Self employed care worker providing care for those in need. I at present support 3 youngsters all with disabilities; the families are funded by the local authority (which I am registered under)

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

Ranging between £14 -£20 per hour depending on care required
