About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, living in the village of Wilstead just south of Bedford. I live with my husband (who is also my registered assistant) and daughter in a lovely welcoming child friendly house, with a fully enclosed garden.
I follow the guidelines for the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing the children in my care with a wide variety of activities and outings.
For example lots of arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, music, messy play, dressing up, role play and outdoor play. I have a variety of toys, games, books, puzzles etc for all ages. We go on outings to the local toddler groups, parks, National Trust, English Heritage, Rspb and Shuttle worth, the library, farms and our allotment.
I can drop off and pick up from Wilstead Preschool and Primary School.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered childminder for 21 years and a mother for 22 years. During this time I have cared for many children gaining the best experience from looking after them and seeing their progression from babies to going to school.
My Qualifications
I am a member of PACEY and completed their DPC course, and I have full pediatric First Aid training.
I have also completed courses on the Early Years Foundation Stage, disability awareness, Local Safeguarding Children, Prevent, Speech and Language, Promoting Good Health, Inclusion and Diversity and Basic Food Hygiene.
My Availability
I am availabe Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 5.30pm. I have flexible hours and offer both term time and school holidays contracts.
I offer short term care and emergency cover as well.
