About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I have fully completed all courses and training for all three childcare registers including EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) so I can care for children from birth to 12 years although I mainly take on babies and toddlers. I do not currently have school age children attending.
I have my own policies and procedures. I have completed online courses in relation to infection control and COVID-19 awareness in educational settings. I am a member of PACEY and I have registered as a childcare provider with our local authority.
I live in Chelmer Village, Chelmsford, Essex with my son. My home is a lovely open plan house with enclosed secure rear garden and an all weather covered play area. I have toys and resources to suit all ages.
My previous career as a police officer was extremely varied and I have many transferable skills to benefit my childminding career. My reason for changing is to spend more time with my son, I missed out on a lot of valuable time with him, especially weekends now he's at school. I love being a mummy and I adore children. I registered in November 2016 and I am so pleased I did because I am really enjoying my job, it is so rewarding. Policing taught me how to identify different risks and manage them safely. I have dealt with emotional situations and I know how precious life is and will do my very best to keep your little one happy and safe.
Leaving my own son when I went to work was emotional for me and I understand that it will not be easy for you. I will offer settling in sessions before you need to start work and I will try to provide you with reassurance during the day by sending photos or messages if you would like me to.
I have an Ofsted approved assistant (my mum Suzanne) and she has spent many years working for the NHS, nursing at Southend Hospital. Suzanne also has a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification, Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene and Level 2 Safeguarding.
I plan to take the children on outings to parks and places of interest, all with your prior consent.

I have a 12 year son and he is so caring towards babies and children, he enjoys reading to them, dressing up, singing nursery rhymes and den building!
I worked throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. I sought advice from governing bodies and followed best practice guidelines to create my own policy to protect my own family and my childminding families. I am able to provide a continuous service wherever possible providing it is safe to do so.

I am currently studying for my Early Years and Primary Practice degree. I have passed my Foundation degree (Level 4 & 5).
My Availability
I work Tuesday to Thursday 07:30 to 17:30.
Shift workers considered.
No half day availability at the moment.
Possibility of Friday’s if infrequent due to my current commitment to my studies in Early Years practice.
Minimum of two full days a week.
I am now offering to gov. funded 15 hours childcare to all qualifying families.

Over the course of 6 years, we were incredibly fortunate to have had such an excellent childcare provider to look after both our children. Cally provides a nurturing environment for the children and organises engaging activities throughout the day suited to their developing skills. They especially enjoyed it when Cally was able to take them out for morning or afternoon trips.
It can be hard to leave your children with another person, especially when they are very young, but leaving them with Cally gave us a great peace of mind & confidence. Sometimes the children didn't want to come home at all when it came to pick-up time!
Without hesitation, we would recommend Cally to anyone seeking reliable childcare. As a testimony to the quality of Cally's childcare, both our children still talk about their time with her with fond memories.

My two boys were looked after by Cally and both myself and my partner couldn’t have asked for a better childcare setting. Cally ensures that she provides the children with the most nurturing environment as well as providing engaging activities throughout the day. We were honestly so grateful to Cally for going above and beyond every day, including when she would take the boys out for the day on trips. The food was always homemade and the boys ate so well whilst in her care. We would 100% recommend Cally to anyone looking for childcare. I know only too well how daunting it can be to leave your child/children with another person but with Cally, we always felt at ease.

Cally looked after my little girl from 11 months to 2 years old. She would still be attending now if we hadn't moved out of the area. If you want peace of mind that your child will be safe, nurtured, stimulated and entertained, then look no further. I trust Cally completely with my daughter's welfare. She is attentive, cautious and really takes the time to understand your child's wants and needs and habits. Cally was respectful of my wishes in regards to routines for my daughter and was very helpful with suggestions and support for her development. My daughter loved attending and made some fantastic friends there. We miss you Cally, any child is lucky to be in your care!

Cally’s Childminding has been the perfect setting for my son. He was with Cally from 10months old to 2 and a half years old. He had lots of fun and would love playing outside or creating pieces of art work for different occasions. He made lots of friends and got on well with her son and mum who often joined in with the activities. Cally was great with communicating with myself or my partner whether that be updates sending pictures of outings or letting us know how he is progressing with learning new skills. I can’t thank Cally enough for doing such an amazing job and helping my son thrive!!

My son was looked after by Cally from 10 months to 3yrs. He settled very quickly & I've had no worries that he would receive anything less than exceptional care. My son developed a wonderful relationship with Cally & her son & really looked forward to his days there (not so keen to come home again....). Cally provided our childcare throughout the pandemic & I knew my son would be safe with her. She has been extremely accommodating with changes to our shifts when we have needed to alter childcare accordingly. I have no doubt that attending such a homely, caring, & fun packed environment has been a big influence on the confident, helpful, cheeky 3yr old my son has become (instead of his crazy disorganised two shift working parents home-life).

Our daughter went to Cally’s regularly from five months up to three years old. From the time our daughter first met her she absolutely adored her. Cally’s became her second home. Cally was always so kind, so helpful and always very professional. She keeps really clear and detailed records of each childs’ development and was always available for advice and support. It was such a relief to know that our little girl was in such safe hands.

Our son went to Cally’s once a week from 10 months to 3 years old. We wanted the nurturing environment of a childminder’s and Cally was able to provide this. On our first visit, our son warmed to her immediately and we were confident that he would be well looked after and happy.
Our son loved his time at Cally’s each week and we were always well informed of his day. He would always leave with a smile on his face and excited to tell us of the fun he had been up to. Our son learnt so much through being with Cally and we are grateful for the wonderful experiences he had.

We've been using Cally for a year now and my child has never been as happy as she is. Cally provides a warm safe place that allows my child to relax and be herself. She is more than a childminder in our world. She is supportive to me as a parent and has a trust-worthfully ear for my child. Her knowledge of child welfare is amazing and she has on many occasions helped us through difficult times with school, sleep patterns and all the normal struggles of bringing up a child. Her work, I am positive with take my child into adulthood with a firm happy foundation to build on.
