My Summary

My Experience

In my late teens, I completed various work experience placements in schools, including a placement in a Special Educational Needs unit. I then worked in a nursery in the 2-3year old room. Here, I built close relationships with both the parents and children, some of which I’m still in contact with almost ten years later.
After completing my Level 3, I was offered a position as a Level 3 in the Pre School room. There were children with Special Educational Needs who needed someone with experience and training in this area. In this room, I had 23 key children to care for and prepare for school. I kept all of their Learning Journeys up to date and delivered parents evenings twice a year.

After just over a year at the Nursery, I moved to St Marys COE Infants in Twickenham. I absolutely loved my time there. As the class Teaching Assistant, I helped the children settle into their first year of school life. I designed role play areas, displays, led groups for mixed abilities, kept their Learning Journeys up to date and set up the classroom; ready for each day. I also supported a little boy with Type 2 Diabetes, ensuring his blood sugars were kept stabilised by administering insulin when needed.

After nearly two years at the school, I found my first Nanny family in Twickenham. I started looking after them 3 days a week and completed the school year on a part time contract.

This was a great introduction to nannying and from then, I never looked back!
Sadly, 7 months into the role, the family moved back to New Zealand and so I began a Nanny share with one family in New Malden and one family in Wimbledon.
I completed 5 years in New Malden, supporting the family throughout the 2 boys’ early years and the addition of their 3rd little boy.

I have incredibly fond memories with this family but unfortunately, the pandemic meant that I was put on furlough and then the role ended. Since, I have worked for an amazing family full- time, for over 2 years (in Teddington). Their circumstances are changing in September and so I am looking for a long term 4 day a week role so that I can continue my Counselling training 1 day a week.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Nannying in various areas and getting to know all of the local childcare facilities, friendly faces and playgrounds.

My Qualifications

I have 10 A-C GCSEs and also an A2 in Food Technology, AS in Business Stuides and AS in ICT too. I have a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce and finally a Level 2 in Counselling Skills.

My Availability

Monday- Friday.

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
