My Experience

I have only ever worked with children as this is where my passion lies. I spent 2 years tutoring two students (5 and 6) that were in Grade 0 and Grade 1 while studying my degree. My focus with them was on literacy and basic schooling skills- helping them to take the initiative in their learning. Prior to this I au paired for a young girl for nearly 3 years starting when she was 3 years old. I picked her up from school and took her to any extra murals she had. I also ensured she was well fed, bathed and ready for bed when her mom got home. Overall, ensuring she was happy and stimulated- many years later (and many kms apart) I am still in touch with this special family back home.

I have a degree in Foundation Phase teaching (Early years) from South Africa. I have one years formal teaching experience in a rural farm school where I taught English to students that were not exposed to the language. I also spent 6 weeks with a remedial school learning new ways to approach learning difficulties while ensuring children were still getting the most benefit.

I have been working for the same family for the past 5 years- 36 hours as a part time nanny, tutor and PA (3 days a week) for two adorable children who are now aged 10 and 7. I tutored the eldest during his 7+ exams and he later got accepted to a prestigious North London Private school.

My Availability

MORNINGS ONLY. Currently seeking a new nanny/tutor role from June. I tutor in the afternoons from 3:30pm- looking for a morning role.

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)

£50/h private tutor net
£15/h nanny net
