My Experience

Since 2012 I have gained a wide variety of childcare experience. I have worked with children from 3 days old all the way up to 16 year old's. Within these age ranges I have gained experience in 2 day nurseries and I volunteered in one of them before starting my training in 2013 to become a professional nanny. I have also had experience in a nursery school for 3 months, as well as a primary school. I was also very fortunate to take part in a 6 week placement at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. Here I worked alongside a play specialist and cared for multiple children with a range of complex needs and adapted activities to suit these. I have also worked on the Isle of Mull (Scotland) for one week caring for children from 4 families the children's ages ranged from 6 months - 3 1/2 years. As a result of my training I am able to provide stimlating activities for all children, prepare healthy balanced meals and support weaning for babies. I can also prepare and make bottles and assist with wake up, bath and bed times.

I have gained further experience working in a nursery that caters for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. I've also worked with 3 families. With one family in Perthshire, Scotland I cared for 4 children aged 6 months to 4 years, with another family I looked after one 6 year old boy and finally with the most recent family I have been looking after a 7 year old and a 10 year old.

In my most recent position I was working as a full time nanny for a family with 2 boys aged 10 & 13 when I began working with them. I held this position for over 2 years before going on maternity leave to have my little boy, now 2 years old. In this position my primary role was as a SEN nanny. This involved caring for a a child with Down Syndrome. I would prepare daily meals, take the child/children to and from school and extracurricular activities, overnight care, personal hygiene care for the child with SEN and assisting with homework. I absolutely loved working with this family and would love to gain more experience with children who have additional needs.

My Availability

Part time week day availability Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)

For babysitting services I charge £ 12 per hour.
