About Me
Hi my name is Claire of Sams mum childminding and I am an Ofsted Registered childminder. I live with my husband James, our teenage son, Sam and our dog, Merlot, who is a Fox Red Labrador.
Our home is situated in leafy Birch Hill in Bracknell within a 10-minute walk from Swinley Forest and the Lookout, close to South Hill Park and a selection of local parks, pre-schools and schools.
As a parent myself I understand the worry and stress finding good child care can be and I certainly aim for and like to think that I offer a happy, secure, fun and friendly home from home for your child.
I want to give parents the confidence and assurance of knowing that their child is safe in an environment that continues their ongoing development and of course is fun.
As weather permits a great proportion of our time is spent outdoors and our fully enclosed garden is laid to artificial lawn. This is to enable us to make as much use of it as we can and it includes Little Tikes play house and climbing frame, slide, water play and a selection of ride on toys.
Of course we have lots of fun indoors playing and I have dedicated rooms offering a wide selection of toys, books, puzzles, dressing up, role playing outfits as well as plenty of arts and crafts.
For those quiet periods I have designated areas for sleeping and a separate area for eating.
My husband James also helps occasionally as my registered assistant who also has all the relevant checks and qualifications.
My Experience
I have been a childminder in the Bracknell area for 10 years, and have looked after 40 children over that time.
My Qualifications
I hold the following qualifications:
Diploma in Home-based Childcare Level 3 Unit 1
Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workfore
12 hour Paediatric First Aid certificate
NSPCC Child Protection Awareness
Safeguarding Children Level 2
Basic Food Hygiene
Level 2 – Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering
An Introduction to Equality & Diversity
An Introduction to Data Protection
Insurance and membership with Pacey
Makaton Basic Signing
James & I both have enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks
James who is registered as my assistant has the following qualifications -
An Introduction to Safeguarding Children V4
FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF)
Appropriate CRB/DBS checks
My Availability
My working hours are 7.00 am until 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Current availability - sorry I'm currently full.
Holiday only cover also available.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
All nappies and formula (if applicable) to be supplied by parent / carer
Hourly rate includes all food / meals / snacks / drinks.
