About Me
Hi, My name is Dani,
I am a self employed performer looking to supplement my income with child care. Through my work I have had great fun teaching children to use circus equipment.
I regularly look after two girls of 4 and 6 who are home educated, one with additional support needs. I occasionally care for a 16 year old with A.S.D.
I have experience working with children in a variety of settings from family festivals to local communities. I have worked with all age ranges and have developed techniques to encourage whole family play.
I completed an Arts from the Start course with Starcatchers, aimed at maximising opportunities for creativity in the early years, during this course I learned how to help children access their own creativity and reinforce their innate curiosity.
I have a degree in English and Drama and I would be happy to tutor most subjects up to Nat5.
I have a basic knowledge of BSL and would volunteer unpaid in a placement to learn more. I possess a good knowledge of baby sign language.
As a mother of a teenager at high school I have managed behavioural storms and minecraft obsessions. Well aware of the demands of a busy house, I am also happy to help with domestic chores. PVG in process (16/6/2016).
