About Me
My name is Rachel, I was previously a registered childminder.
I live with my 3 childrenvery energetic, fun loving boys aged 11 and years 9 years plus the youngest member of the family Isabella, 4 years old, not forgetting our 2 cats Jasmine and Marley.
I am a fun, energetic person that has a love of the outdoors, I enjoy nature walks and camping trips. I have a very caring nature and find children tend to feel relaxed in my company soon after meeting me.
I offer a warm, friendly and loving home from home setting where all are welcomed into a safe learning environment with a wide variety of stimulating, educational, diverse toys and books that cater to younger and older children alike.
I plan activities on a weekly basis ensuring all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stages are incorporated. I attend play, music and cooking sessions and arrange outings to museums, local parks and farms.
My planning respects and celebrates cultural events such as Chinese New Year, Diwali, Eid, and Christmas to name a few.
A watsapp group will be set up for parents where photos and information about the childs day will be shared.
I am located within 20 minutes walk of Dereham town centre and within walking distance of Toftwood Junior school and can offer drop off and pick up for Toftwood infant & Junior School.
I’m very enthusiastic and extremely motivated in everything I do, I’m honest and reliable and understand the importance of working in partnership with parents to provide care that suits the individual needs of each child.
I am available to take any enquiries and to discuss the needs and requirements of local parents and carers.
My Experience
I was registered childminder for 8 years. I also worked in a primary school for just
a year supporting one to one in the classroom and supervising during lunch times.
I regularly babysit for friends and parents at my childrens schools, I can provide references from parents on request.
I am familiar with the Early Years foundation stage and aware of the importance of promoting a balanced healthy environment, healthy eating and also physical exercise.

After lots of research and visiting several childminder settings, we were delighted to meet Rachel. We were drawn to her because of her natural warm personality but also because we could see how capable, professional and competent she was - we knew our daughter would be safe with her.
We felt Rachel went the extra mile to help our 1 year old daughter settle in with her and we got great feedback about her daily routines as well as her overall development.
Her setting is clean and homely with lots of lovely toys and resources plus a private garden. She also visited lots of play groups as well as parks and museums etc carefully planning around the children's interests and the weather. We grew fond of her own children who were very kind and sweet with our daughter - extra friendships for her.
We couldn't have chosen a better start in the child care world - Thank you Rachel!
