Hello, my name is Chandrika. I am Ofsted registered childminder who loves working and enlightening their future to help them become the best they can be. I look forward to meeting you soon!
I have voluntarily worked with children for over 15+ years. I thrive to provide an outstanding service that meets the needs of parents as well as setting out a safe, caring and loving learning environment for the children.
I plan activities based on each child's individual needs and age and abilities. I understand child development is extremely important and therefore all of my day to day activities are based on the main learning areas,

I have a well set up nursery transformed from my garage capable of holding up to 20 children as well as a separate play area in the center of my home. They are both stimulating areas with various activities for different children along with a local park minutes away from my home. I regularly explore new areas and parks with the children in my care for them to expand their imagination. Other activities include:

My Experience
I have 32 years of experience working with children. I have 3 children of my own, whom I have raised into wonderfully independent and kind adults.
I have worked with kids ranging from 3 months- 15 years.
From having lived in this area from 30 years, I know where the local parks are and what time is the best time to take the children. I know which routes are best to pick up the children from their respective schools and I know the people who live in this area very well so I can say it is a safe neighborhood.

I am accepting children all year round. I am available from 7:00 - 19:00
I provide daily care, before and after school services, pick-up and drop-off services, holiday clubs, short-term care.
*Please note I only do school pick ups from Chalk Hill Primary, Preston Park Primary and Preston Manor Lower school.

Chandrika and Vijay are amazing Childminders! They are nurturing, caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. My 6 year old daughter loves spending time at their house, she always asked whether I could increase my working hours so she could spend more time and wished she could spend every summer holiday at Chandrika and Vijay's house! Best Childminders, keep up the great work :)

I'm so glad we found Chandrika when we were looking for childcare for our son (age3). Chandrika is caring, friendly and has made sure our son is happy and settled every time we dropped him off. Chandrika she has a lovely space for children to play and learn in. Our son really enjoys his time and comes home with lots to talk about. He especially enjoys playing with other children in Chandrika’s care.I very much recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.

Absolutely best place I could imagine for my son. He loves to be there and because me and my husband works a lot Chandrika’s nursery is my son’s second home and definitely Chandrika and her family is an extension of our little family.
She cares a lot of every aspect of taking care of all children.
I’m very happy I decided to give my son under such a good care.
Highly recommended!!!

Trying to find the perfect childminder is really hard and we seen a couple of distressing settings before finding Chandrika.
Her house was immaculate, so clean and everything perfectly organized. She made me feel welcome straight away and had a binder full of legal documents ready for me. I could tell she knew exactly what she was taking about being an educator myself.
Our baby girl is going to the care of Chandrika and her family since she is 4 months and a half, and they did everything they could to help her settle during those particular Covid times. We feel part of the family and that was very important for us to find a warm and loving environment for our baby. Our baby is growing in a nurturing environment where she is thriving, thanks to all the activities she is doing during the day. She is surrounded by friends and family, and is learning so fast being with older children. She is smiling every morning and we know she will be well taken care of.
We couldn't have dreamt of a better place for our baby to be !

Chandrika is very good and family oriented. She has been a lovely childminder to my daughter who used to attend in her early years. We find her to be very supportive, caring and flexible to our needs. My daughter had a lovely time going to Chandrika. She also used to provide good healthy home made food so there was no worry in terms of providing packed food.

Our two children (5yr old and 20 months old) have been going to Chandrika and Vijay’s childminding provision for 7 months and we couldn’t recommend them high enough. The children are stimulated, have lots of fun and always look forward to their time with Chandrika and Vijay. We are thrilled to have found such wonderful childminders.

I cannot recommend Chandrika and Vijay enough. Our daughters attend their setting before and after school and they both feel like part of the family. Chandrika and her husband Vijay have a natural way of making children feel comfortable and cared for. Their home is spotless and their purpose built nursery is a dream play den for our girls. On the days when our girls have been there for the whole day, Chandrika has taken them to parks and playgrounds, fed them a healthy lunch and filled their days with fun activities. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Chandrika and she keeps us updated with photos and feedback. We are so grateful to her and her family for giving us peace of mind while we are at work and highly recommend her.

I have been updated on a daily basis on how my child’s day has been. Being a first time parent has been difficult and leaving my baby in the childminder has been very helpful for me to have a time for myself and for work. Playing with other kids help my child develop her interpersonal skills. She does not want to go home each time I pick her up. Safe to say that she is truly enjoying her stay. My baby and I are leaving with a heavy heart due to relocation. She will truly miss her friends and her other family.

I was looking for a good Chilminder for almost a month before I found Chandrika. I liked her from the first time I stepped into her house. I liked how clean her house was, how the playing area was organised and how you could see from the way she was talking that she really loves children and she really loves her job. My son is so happy with her. He’s development it’s amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better Chilminder. Her everyday commitment to this children and the memories they make in her settlement will be forever.
I can’t praise enough all her hard work.

We saw over 10 childminders before choosing Chandrika and by far the best choice we could have made.
We are first time parents and were very nervous to find the right person that would look after our son, but from that initial meeting we were reassured.
She's very professional, very careful and super attentive.
Her dedication is a statement of how much she adores kids.
Chandrika has been looking after our son since he was 8 months old and every morning he's super happy to jump on Chandrika's hands, it's amazing to see how much he's been developing.
Chandrika always keeps us updated with how baby has eaten and has behaved throughout the day. She also sends us pictures.
The small number of kids in Chandrika's care allow for the children to play and bond with each other and at the same time easier for her to keep a closed eye on all of them.
Chandrika takes the children to the local playground and they also do plenty of different activities, painting, dancing, singing, etc.
Worth mentioning that Chandrika's house is spottless and very welcoming, this was a major requirement for us. She also has a dedicated nursery room for them to play.
We are very happy and lucky to have found Chandrika and we can't thank her enough for all she's doing for our little one.
